Cavs-Sixers 10/18

Post#1 » by tk76 » Sat Oct 18, 2008 3:55 pm

Don't know if the game will be streamed anywhere tonight (7:30 EST.) I don't think it is televised in either city, so I doubt it will be available online either.

Of note, no Sam of Brand tonight- so if it is on it will be a good chance to see Speights play heavy minutes.

The next game against the Cavs on Tues is supposed to be on CSN. Look forward to seeing Thad learning to guard Lebron.

Brand's wife had their kid
Sammy's knee is banged up.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Great...Our center is already banged up...Maybe Speights will get minutes during the first couple games. How bad is it?

Not that I'm aware of.

Speights and Ratliff our starting Power Forward/Center combo.

I believe its not being broadcast, so no way it can be streamed.

I think you could get audio (but even I can't sit down and listen to a preseason NBA game.) Fortunately the next Cavs game on Tues is supposed to be on CSN.

Mo Williams was tossed from the game after receiving his 2nd T in the game with only half the ist quarter played. The 76ers are shooting just 2-8. Speights is 0-2, but 2 passes for Speights were broken up and another pass Speights lost out of bounds.

Miller was called for an offensive foul on a previous play, but both received techinicals, while Miller was yelling at Williams. A play or two later Miller fouled Williams, with Mo Williams received his 2nd T.

You can listen to this game live. Go to sixers.com... I can't find the video stream anywhere though.

Why on this god green's earth does Marreese Speights have only 2 shot attempts? Either he's being passive or worse, they aren't passing the ball to him. And in that case, how can Mo properly evaulate him?

The Cavs were easily beating the 76ers on the boards (26-18) and already had 9 offensive reounds at halftime. The Cavs only shot 35% in the ist quarter, but finished the half shooting 46%. Kareem Rush did not take a shot in the 6 minutes he played, but Rush finished the half -10 in the plus minus category.

Iggy lead the 76ers with 12 at the half, but committed 2 turnovers late in the 2nd quarter which lead to Cavs points. Iggy had 3 turnovers for the half, after starting the game with his 4th air-ball of the pre-season.

Starters Speights, Ratliff and Miller have not scored in a fieldgoal in the ist half. The 76ers have connected on 17 free throws in the ist half with 3-6 trays. The 76ers had only 6 assists in the ist half to the Cavs 12.
