Alando Tucker

Post#1 » by Twuan89 » Mon Oct 20, 2008 4:47 am

Ok I have been really impressed with what I have seen from Alando Tucker. I know he has been working on his game this offseason, and it has carried over to the preseason. His shot looks a lot better. Any playing time that he gets this season, he is goin to take advantage of it.

My question is What are your expectations for Alando Tucker this season?

Not very high at the moment. Not because I don't think he can be a good player, but because he has Hill, Barnes and to a lesser extent Diaw in front of him.

EDIT: Also at the SG position he is behind Bell and Barbs.

I think he'll find spot minutes between the SF and SG, maybe good enough for about 10mpg max.

i see playing time for both, admunson and tucker.
if porter wants to cut minutes from the oldies, than ghill, bell, nash and shaq won´t play every game.
and even if they will i see some minutes for both of them, ok it´s garbage time but who cares.

Props to the great one

I don't see Tucker getting very many minutes this year unless someone gets hurt. Next year will be his year because either Hill or Barnes won't be back. This guy has worked his behind off this summer and has given himself an opportunity to play for this team.

I think he can really contribute, but there's not much PT for him....he's behind Bell/Barbosa, Barnes/Hill, and even Boris in terms of minutes at the wing spots.

Tucker will get playing time after we deal Barbo..... If LB does not step it up and grasp defense, he will be dealt.... and the improvement of FriarTuck will make that more feasable.

I think he will get time when one of our guys gets hurt. Its going to happen, especially with Hill on this team. Thing is, is Dragic the answer as backup PG as of now? I would say no. If this offense slows down like it is suppose to and play half court, then barbosa can handle bringing up the ball and giving it to Diaw or Hill. Now if that happens, that is where Tuck will get consistent mins behind Bell at SG. I think that is where he is going to play anyways. But if Dragic can be a decent backup, barbs plays well, then I really don’t see much besides garbage mins.

^Thats what I said to SDU, totally agree.

Id like to see

Bell
Barnes/Barbosa
Diaw
Amare
Shaq

Have Bell/Barbosa guard the opposing PG and Diaw initiate the offense like he does for France

^ I like that idea.

I'd have Barnes over Barbosa for this lineup. Gives us solid defense in every position and also gives us a size advantage in a half-court set. I think this lineup would be good against teams with elite PGs like NOH, UTA and SAN. Keeps them from abusing Nash on the offense.
