Nice, Speights has killed it on the boards during the 2nd half.

Anyone know why Thad isn't getting more minutes. He was playing well right?

Speights has 5 rebounds in the 3rd quarter with 4:11 left in the 3rd quarter. He has blocked 3rd quarter shots of Gibson, then later Ilgauskus. Speights has scored his only 2 hoops in the game in the 3rd quarter. Speights was taken out for a rest with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, relieved by Marshall.

The 76ers have forced 20 Cavs turnovers and scored 23 points off turnovers with less than 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. The Cavs have 16 points off turnovers.

Lou Williams hit a tray to end the 3rd quarter giving the 76ers a 74-68 lead. Right now Iggy with 17 leads the 76ers. Young and Lou have 13 and 12 respectively.

Two more trays by Marshall have given the 76ers a 9 point lead in the 4th quarter with 9:28 left in the game. Evans continues playing center between Marshall and Young.

The Cavs closed out something like 22-5 with Varejao and West shooting 12-14 with west getting 9 assists. The 76ers defense was nowhere to be found down the stretch, lol. Young did not score a bucket in the 2nd half.

I was surprised to see the numbers Marshall put up. For those who watched the game, how did he look in terms of mobility? He shot the hell out of the ball from downtown. I'm sure Cleveland fans are wondering why he wasn't draining fists full of treys during his tenure there. Also, judging from the box score, it appears as though he had an impact defensively with 4 steals and a block.

Yeah, it looks like Marshall was a significant contributor today.

If he can give us about 2-3 threes atleast once every 2 games, it'll be a tremendous help.

Looks like Young had his first off day, be that as it may, he still scored 13 points. I think he needs to work on his rebounding though. Dalembert and Brand weren't present, yet he was still only able to grab 4-5 boards. I was under the assumption that he was a very good rebounder for his size.

Recap:

Louis Williams: Keep playing like THAT and you'll threaten Miller's starting spot. 15 pts, 8 AST and 3 turnovers. That's a 2-1 AST-TO Ratio I think. In 25 minutes too? Sweet. I know you have alot of POT. And that 5 yr-25 mill signing was a steal by Ed.

Reggie Evans: WTF? Normally your good at rebounding, but suck at scoring. Tonight you pulled a Jerkll and Hyde impression. 10 pts, 5 rebounds. That stat line is actually pretty good. Although we needed your rebounding prowness. If you can draw fouls and find a way to get the ball in the bucket. We can actually play you a little more :D.

Andre Iguodala: Normally the man that does a little bit of everything. Tonight you went on scoring madness. Shooting a good 5-9 and getting to the line 8 times. If you do that(Oh and don't forget to do the rebounding and playmaking your so good at). You give us a TRUE threat at the SG spot.

Marresse Speights: Ouch, bad night offensively. But who cares about that. In a game where the Cavaliers played their front-court. You can take it in 2 ways: 1: As I predicted, Cleveland's ancient front court is on a vast decline. Or 2: You rock. I'll go with both in this case. 8 Rebounds! I wish the team had your heart and effort Mr.Speights. Your 8 rebounds and 2 blks make you a far better center then this guy was.....

Theo Ratliff: Why didn't you just retire?

Kareem Rush: Sometimes they fall, sometimes they don't. But for your playing time sake. You had better hope they do. You did nothing else out there but shoot bricks. At least Korver could draw charges and developed his O Game. Speaking of Kyle Korver. I hope he signs back here in 09.

Donyell Marshall: What the hell? I'm serious. Man, can I give a fellow Philadelphian a big freaking hug! Play like that and you might be suprised with how much time you'll get. The 4 steals and a block shot show your veteran savvyness.

Team Analysis: This team is going to need Brand and Dalembert for 30 minutes a night. That's not saying this team is bad. But this team needs their front-court in order to produce in their system. And the fact is, is that Ratliff sucked and Speights was really the only real big man out there.

In that case, we saw Delonte West look like Magic Johnson tonight. There is little guys like Iguodala and Ivey can do if the bigs can't guard the paint. Because once you get pass the perimeter guys, you can swing the ball around.

Conclusion: This team still managed to score 93 pts. And Marshall and Williams beasted! I agree with Kate, This team has enough offensive talent that it can win any game. Mo can't play everybody. But if everybody comes to play like they did tonight. With Brand and Dalembert in the mix. Mo might find it hard to not play everybody. This is a GOOD basketball team.

The more Kareem Rush I see, the more I wish we had just signed Gerald Green to a make good contract instead.

Good learning experience for Speights. He needs to take his lumps and better he do it now than during the regular season.

Williams looked decent running the point, but he needs to learn how to play defense. He was horrendous on the defensive end.

Tough match-up for Theo, who won't have to play too many big guys like Z as a 10 minute a game situational back up during the regular season.

Marshall showed that in the right circumstances, he can still come in from time to time and be productive.

I like seeing our depth. A lot of potential contributors.

Hopefully Miller won't get off to a slow start like he did last season. Looking for him to score less, but get more assists.

Love seeing Thad, Lou and Marreesse progressing.
