Weezy on Beasley

Quote:
amccarthygib: NBA Rookie of the Year? Who you got? Michael Beasley, Greg Oden, Derrick Rose or OJ Mayo?

I'm a Beasley fan. He's straight up. He's real. He plays with emotion and drive and physicality. He gets to where he needs to be on the court. And when he gets to his spot, if he's not gonna shoot it in your face man, he's gonna dunk it in your face. And if he's not gonna dunk it in your face he's gonna dish it to the next man. There's not a player in the game like Michael Beasley. His upper body strength is amazing. He could play center. I don't know if people know that, but that kid could play center. Also, if you look at the situation he's been put in, he's been put over here with the Heat—with Dwyane Wade and all those guys. No matter what anyone says, that team is a building team with something to prove. And that kid is a building kid with something to prove. So I'll go with Beasley.

Well, I've officially changed my opinion. I used to think Beasley would be a great player, but not anymore. When a talentless punk like Lil' Wayne thinks someone else is talented, he is probably wrong. I feel sorry for Beasley. Many people had high hopes for him, but now that Lil' Wayne has spoken for him, he'd be lucky to be on a team in 3 years.

Sad, but so true.

The state of hip hop is in the trash can now, at least and specifically mainstream.

Lil Wayne blows donkey junk.

I hope for Beasley's sake Lil Wayne doesn't shout him out on his next album, then he's really doomed.

Wezzy = Lil Wayne? Got it.

But how is this a relevant opinion? isnt the guy facing drug and weapons charges? I would say his judgment is a Lil' Off.

While I generally agree that the state of hip hop is in the toilet, I do enjoy Lil Wayne and believe that the guy is a character......

His opinion on Michael Beasley, while slightly delusional (Beasley playing center when he can't even handle the average NBA PF defensively), is interesting to me. But, Lil Wayne does have a point about Beasley's swagga'. He is supremely confident in his abilities (almost like a young Barkley), and with Lil Wayne's endorsement, I'm sure the kid is going places.

It's that new dance craze that all the kids are doing.

Marbury's doing it in your avatar right now.
