Did we even give him a chance?

Interesting comment about Andre possibly starting over May.

rick also mentions LB wants a 3rd vet pg. i'm ok w/ cutting twiggy to get another pg. i really liked orien greene in the summer league. plus, you know there will be one or two solid vets cut this week.

no need to keep 7 bigs. 6 is enough (okafor, nazr, may, brown, davidson, ajinca), especially since both wallace and brown can play some pf.

And especially since 5 of the 7 bigs are projects.

anything hollins can do (jump up and down and waive his arms in front of a players trying to make an inbounds pass, win a jump ball etc...) ajinca can do just as well. there is no need for hollins on the roster.

I am glad they will hold on to Brown.
I think hollins is on the way out

Ya, but Lex would be better served down in the D working on his game/body - right?

At least Twiggy is a warm body that we don't have to worry about trying to develop or invest time in the D with.

I mean, he is what he is.

Should've been you Cookie...

If we cut Hollins the problem is that we only have 2 "real" centers.(and neither one 7 feet) Jinx is a PF, he isn't a center and probably never will be. So what happens when we play Yao/Shaq/Dwight etc. on a night when Mek/Nazr is hurt. We either play Nazr 48 minutes or watch Dwight have a 40 rebound game with 20 of them coming in Jinx's 10 minutes on the court.

I would LOVE to see Andre Brown start the first game, shows all the players that the Bobcats are a meritocracy.

It would be nice if we could send a guy to D-league and gain a roster spot like MLB, than we could at least postpone this decision a bit.

Bye Justin, we hardly knew ya.

Jamal Sampson has just been waived by the Raptors, Bulls fans look out. Bickerstaff might want his boy back.

I would rather keep the player (out of Davidson or Hollins) that has the most potential. I figure the other reason to keep Davidson would be the fact that we can still stash him in the NBADL for development.

Andre Brown should start at PF for all the obvious reasons.

3rd PG, god I hope its not Kevin Ollie. I hope someone better becomes available, but all things being the same I would rather start off with what this team has in the backcourt. A new 3rd string PG won't make or break this team. Of course Jamaal Tinsley could be shown the door any day now...and still don't think any team would bring him in.

Sean May and Ryan Hollins are available...anyone? ANYONE?

Justin Williams could be this year's CJ Watson. By no means a great player... but by then end of the season we'll wish he was on our team instead of someone else's.

CJ Watson? Really? I'm a Ws fan and that is one wacky example. I'd hand him to you right now for free if we weren't leading the league in lack of pg depth.

Whoa, you're a Warriors fan?

I'm a Bobcat fan that had to watch Jeff McInnis start 26 games and play in 28 others... at 26 mpg. I imagine the majority of the posters on this board would've preferred having CJ Watson, who I mention because before being a Warrior he was cut from the Bobcats training camp.

Can you dig it?

FWIW everyone who's bored... I googled "Jeff McInnis" to look up the games played stat...the 4th hit "Jeff McInnis's Girlfriend" is, um...awesome.

I guess there's one of these for every nba player--possibly every athlete ever. But a Jeff McInnis's girlfriend forum.

link for those too lazy: http://www.talk-sports.net/nba/girlfrie ... ff_McInnis

This is the entry that had me hooked:
"I went to West Meck with Jeff "Touche" McInnis when he as in he the ninth grade. Not the smartest guy in the world. And he loves white girls. He dated a girl named Nikki Pennix."

Oh my! this deserves its own thread.....

I don't believe that "he-who-shall-not-be-named" ever went to West Meck.(it's possible, Im no expert) He went to West Charlotte and later Oak Hill following the Jason Parker/Justin Gray route. It's the kind of mistake somebody would make if they were just making up some BS.

As an aside, I'm a West Charlotte Alum and already had a healthy dislike for him before he ever played for the Bobcats, based on seeing him in and around the community. Last season just cemented his place as the most vile detestable person on the planet.

Actually Touch did go to West Meck.... Back in the day West Charlotte was only 10-12 and West Meck was 9-12. Touche went to Coulwood Middle School that was 6-8 so his Freshman year was at West Meck then we went to West Charlotte as a Sophomore.

He did used to bang out Nikki Pinnix like it said in that thread.... She was smoking hot back in the 8th grade and wen downhill from there... I saw her years later next door to one of my buddies house---she was a stripper and nowhere near as I hot as I remembered....

Is that you with the "Coulwood in the house" contribution? If so, excellent work.

This is one of the best internet finds I've made since... idk, real gm? Check out Al Horford forum one, is that profile picture from that Mel Gibson movie?
