Everything hinges on Yao. A 75% T-Mac (which is basically what you're looking at for this season) will be good enough as long as Artest doesn't implode.

You're joking about the Jazz beating us again, right?
Last year we took them to 7 games without our starting center and starting PG.
We have a deeper team this year, and they didn't do anything.

LOL@ "it may be worth it for the Rockets to simply rest their franchise center for the first two months of the season. "
its ok to break some rules once in a while...

T-mac looked real gimpy last night. Wonder how long he can make it through? I saw him grimace about 5 times.

T-Mac is already more than 75% , his knee will be fine he just needs to get in tip top shape.
If he will not suffer any injuries or at least serious injuries he will be 100% about 1 month into the season imo , possibly less.
We still need to get the chemistry down , we need to get Shane back fully helathy and if Brooks continues his play from pre season we will be good.
We just need to have luck and not suffer signficant injuries to our big 3 , I am not worried about T-Mac's nee.
“He didn’t miss?” , “That’s fantastic. That’s tremendous. I wish I could have a day like that. I dream of the day I could go 12-for-12.”-Rafer Alston

anyway,i think it's hard for Yao to get 20+ 10 in this season.

I can see a healthy Rockets team knocking off the Jazz. And Yao started last year looking like the best big man in the league. But as long as the Rockets are healthy at the end of the season, they're capable of beating anyone in the West, regardless of seeding. The focus is on keeping the franchise guys resting during the unimportant games.
