I think DJS & SB would have a lot of duplication in talent, so it'd make more sense to let him go vs. Hollins. We wouldn't begin to have enough PT to keep them both.

But when LB is saying a 3rd PG is he really saying a 3rd PG who's a veteran? Does he want another project? Given the choices available I'd think with DJS's size and abilities he'd be the better pick, but we don't know how much weight experience might have.

I'm thinking the same thing - that if we brought in DSJ that S.Brown would have to go, which would be a shame because S.Brown has seemed pretty active during the preseason hasn't he?

That includes. By my count....

8 guys that can play PF/C (adding Wallace/Dudley)
8 Guys that can play SG/SF (Adding Felton/Jermareo)

All the "Who is our starting 4" threads should read: "Who is our 3rd PG,"

Your thoughts...

Quality is light years better then quantity. The Bobcats have the latter up front.
I'm perfectly fine with Shannon Brown being the 3rd PG, because PG right now is one of this teams actual strengths (assuming DJ can handle the NBA).

Complaining about a 3rd PG is kind of out there.

I hate to do this but;
STARTING PF>>>>>>>>>>>>>THIRD string PG

This team needs all the help it can get up front. Unless a great option for THIRD STRING point guard falls into this teams lap (think Beno Udrih landing in Sacramento), i could care less.

Yeah I kind of like Shannon Brown; when he's on the court he shows that hunger and throws all his energy into the time he gets. He's also been somewhat productive. We're talking bottom of the bench tho, so it's not that big of a heartache.

I think we're going into the season without that starting 4 chrbal, unless we move Crash (which I really don't want to do). All of the guys we might conceivably trade all have low value and I'm hoping LB can improve some stock enough so we don't get completely ripped off.

Unless of course you have a hook with Dumars where you can talk him into a straight up Ammo for Maxiell that is! :D

Maxiell is a Piston, otherwise my jersey is useless.

I figure on the starting PF thing. I just want to see Andre Brown start there, because hes the only guy who has proven he wants it.

The thing that sucks, is this has (so far) been a really bad season on the waiver wire. No one worth anything (for what this team needs) has been cut yet.

Tell LB. He's the one who specifically brought it up and has continued to bring it up a couple of more times.

Hodge got waived by the Nets. He royally sucked with them but I haven't given up on him.

Meanwhile, you can have Marcus Williams for a 2nd round pick right now, but I warn you... Hodge is better.

I'm guessing thats more about pushing his point guards then a real need for one.

He did something similar to Billups when he was running the Pistons.

Now that all said...I think Larry could have Tony Parker, Steve Nash, and Chris Paul...he would still be saying things like this.
