1) December 19 - Jason Kidd returns to NJ as a Maverick.
2) All the new faces in new places (Brand, Davis, etc.)
3) One full year of Devin Harris in NJ, his development.
4) Kevin Martin (I have to agree with joeyyowee on this one).
5) Keeping an eye on the Spurs, it's an odd-numbered year remember?

That's because he takes all the shots. Give me thirty shots a game, I guarantee to score ten baskets, and hit a few free throws. There you go. :D

1- Rookies: Oden, Beasley, Mayo, Fernandez above all.
2- Bynum-Gasol combo. Lakers winning it all.
3- Calderon going to the AllStar. JO-Bosh combo. Raptors getting past the first round.
4- The Blazers.
5- The Spurs finally not winning the championship in an odd year and maybe rebuilding.

Team:
1. Roy and Aldridge both improving
2. The Spanish connection (Sergio to Rudy)
3. Oden getting into game shape, and ending the year strong after a some what slow start.
4. Pryzbilla off the bench to make one of the best starter/reserve center duos in the NBA.
5. Making it to to play-offs. This should be number one but I'm happy as long as they show obvious improvement, even if they don't quite make it in the tough west this year.

Other:
1. Rookie / Soph game. The Rookies should have a good chance of stealing the game. Rose, Mayo, Oden, Love, Beasley and others are a nice looking rookie class.
2. R.O.Y. race. It's going to be intense and close.
3. Seeing how the big name trades/signings go.
4. Danny Granger and Kevin Martin both improving. They are two players I like that aren't on my team and hope they both get better.
5. Good basketball. The East is improved and it should make for some more competitive games to watch this year.

Why is there so high a level of callous disregard for Kevin Martin?

OK yeah, 30 ppg is probably pushing it, but this guy is the most efficient wing scorer in the league and will almost certainly drop 27 ppg or thereabouts this coming season. His efficiency has actually INCREASED each year as his shooting volume has risen, which is absurd and ridiculous. He's an incredible shooter and an excellent slasher.

He definitely needs to catch some more respect.

* The Spanish Connection
* Tyrus breaking out because I got him with the last pick for my fantasy team
* Oden making NBA centers look ridiculous, along with drawing tons of fouls in the process
* Kevin Love achieving the highest QB rating due to his outlet passes
* Chris Paul pretending to be Basketball Jesus
