I think that anything less would be too little. I am giving up the best 2B in the draft in return for the fourth or fifth best pitcher. I would exchange two of my picks for two of yours obviously it is not worth the risk for me not to get the next two picks. You need to give to receive Stud

Alright, alright, show off. We know you, Cobb and a couple others have a superior knowledge of prospects but you've also got to respect that there's a good chunk of the league (maybe even half) who don't follow prospects nearly as close and only get pumped for the prospect draft after they hear Jim Callis rave about a guy's "stuff".

(i.e. the commish is one of those guys that needs the lists, so he's making the executive decision to wait until spring training for the prospect draft)

Hey who knows I may pick Brett Sinkbeil because he was in BA top 70 at the beginning of the season and he was one of top guys on BA's list not drafted. You never know. And hell your the prospect buff, Jeff Samardzija, stud. You should want to draft early with your skillz.

Kaz and Muave how much do you guys know about the minor leagues?

I wouldn't say that I am the most knowledgeable about prospects because I haven't been in a position to require me to focus on them. That being said, I will not brag about how much I know but I have a fair idea of who is good and much like Setterlund I would have to get the lists between now and Spring Training to help me out. Let me put it this way, I am not the smartest but not the dumbest.

is that directed at me? either way i dont exactly follow that sentence. anyways i know a great deal of ranger prospects aside from that really just know the big names. i might just go w/an all ranger farm system though seeing how we're the best

You guys gave me **** for that pick for years. I'm not trying to brag, but I've had a good chunk of the best prospects of the past five years go through my system at some point or another. I usually like to go with the strategy of trading them away for a proven elite player though. (see: Miguel Cabrera)

You're going to have some competition from safan on that one. He usually just goes with the top Rangers prospect on the board. All the catching prospects are off the market as well. I've got Teagarden, I think bigboy has Max Ramirez and one of the goons around here has got Salty.

And as far as my minor league knowledge, I know some things but im definitely not an expert and would need to buff up on my knowledge.

No, I was just saying he was a stud. Damn cracker.

You know you want Maximiliano and Feliz. The Netherlands? Or your catcher? And you better get that, or you aren't my main man anymore.
You guys gave me **** for that pick for years.

I still don't believe in him. You just don't learn to pitch at age 23 in AAA. All through college and through AA he was like a 5.5 K/9 guy. I'm looking forward to see what he does though, I'm pretty sure no one really knows how to rate him.

Wow, this night was intense. But, I'm pretty sure it's past Kaz's bed time, haha. He's a morning person, so I'm expecting that this is it for the night.
