Keyshawn cut
I've been saying til I'm blue in the face that the Panthers were preparing for this draft with the idea that Key was not going to be on the team next year. Well today they made it official:

You might recall how genuinely ecstatic Johnson was when the Panthers drafted Dwayne Jarrett. There was a reason for that--he knew it meant he was not going back to a team that has almost no chance of winning anything in 2007, his last season. Expect Keyshawn to ring-whore in San Diego for a season before usurping Tom Jackson on ESPN.

Um, what?
And its the other way around. The Panthers told Jarrett over the phone that he would be the #2, and thats why the interview was awkward.

Keyshawn would be awsome in denver uniform. i think he would be nice 3rd/4th receiver. anyway i think i know y patriot is stacking up on WR because to counter denver's secondary who is one of the best in nfl. New england has one in their quest to superbowl and that is denver broncos who has their number for last 3-4 years.

The reason I think it's SD is because he's a SoCal guy and he knows he can play a significant role with them, yet at the same time to be relied upon as much as he was in CAR. You could tell it bothered him that their QB (Jake, Weinke) was always under pressure and everyone in the stadium knew the throw was either to Smith or Keyshawn. And thus far the Panthers haven't really addressed either problem, other than drafting a finesse center and a slower, immature version of Keyshawn himself. SD has multiple threats, a very good OL, and an offensive genius as a head coach. Makes too much sense, which is why he'll probably sign with Seattle or Green Bay (and don't rule GB out, seriously).

theres one thing jarret and key do alike, and that is catch the rock over the middle in heavy traffic. not speedsters, but tall to get up and clutch and focused on the ball. key shown that during the championship run with the bucs and throughout his career. jarret is very similar in that regard. he aint gonna burn past folks, but if theres a db thats smaller than he, that db will have a boatload of trouble in key situations.
