Yi is a beast so far. DH have a JKidd type game so far with 7,5, and 3.

Look for VC to pick it up in the 2nd Half.

I know the Wiz aren't expected to be a very good team, so I am not trying to get to hyped, but we look good.

Good defense, everyone blocking shots and giving great effort.

Ball movement is decent.

Execution is decent.

We are gonna suprise people this year.

I still don't know that we make the playoffs, but I say we are in the running a lot of the season and finish with 30 something wins at worst.

This is all with VC deferring so to get the young guys some looks so Frank sees what he has.

Simmons' shooting angers me. 0% confidence in his 3's.

Yeah he looked good in the 1st quarter, but he has been ice cold since.

missed some wide open ones, which can be forgiven, but he jacked up a couple bad ones early in the clock, and he is putting the ball on the floor too much for someone with suspect handle.

Man the Nets really have a bench now almost makes me cry of joy :)

Nice balanced game even though i really didn't like giving up all that much offensive rebounds in the first half . Yi / Lopez looked really good btw.

I was pleasantly surprised by Yi. His shot was great but he also played smart. He played tough and I feel like his rebounding numbers sell him a bit short. He showed very good defensive potential but needs work overall. The coaching staff NEEDS to put him down into the post some so he can get used to shooting from that area and making moves there.

Lopez looks very good. I love the dunks when he is under the hoop and he is going to be an excellent rebounder. He can also become an anchor for the defense. He needs to work a bit on establishing position and being willing to repost. Also see if he can't get a simple face up game so he doesn't always need to have good position. Looking like an excellent pick.

Carter played excellent and was the team leader. I loved how he was explaining the help D to Yi at one point.

Harris needs to learn what a hesitation move is. He would be deadly if he changed speeds instead of trying to go full speed all the time.

Hayes played well as a reserve but I wouldn't count on that every game. I would expect it will be a different reserve that steps up every game.

I don't particularly like Ryan Anderson. He has no real upside to speak of, though he is an intelligent hard-working player. I don't think he can become more than a valuable role player. That is not necessarily a bad thing but I'm worried that Frank will give him too much time because he likes him. I hope Sean eats into his and Boones minutes as the season goes on.

Boone played bad IMO. He was being eaten alive by Etan Thomas at one point, both in terms of rebounding and defense.

CDR played well as a glue guy and didn't press anything. I would expect him to become more comfortable with his role as the season goes on and the numbers will start to come.

Dooling looks like a serviceable backup point capable of scoring when no one else on the second unit can.

Marv and Fratello have a lot of awkward moments together.

Lopez outplayed Boone. Got some big rebounds, had a few nice moves to score around the basket. His length and knack for the ball keeps plays alive more often than not.

Hayes played really well, if he can continue to make open shots like that, he'll have a great year.

Yi needs to keep playing just like that. Not force shots, take open shots - stretch the defense and open up the lanes for Devin to drive.

VC set the tone to begin the 3rd quarter and he and Hayes finished off the Wizards in the 4th.

I've said it all offseason, the Nets are going to surprise a lot of analysts/fans...

boone just seems too small to play center, i'd rather start lopez due to his size and be great experience so he can really help the nets as the season goes on. I'd like to see yi post up a few times a game, really like the steal and dunk. jarvis has should start at the 3 position if healthy.

Hayes & Yi were really solid today..they may be one-dimensional offensive players right now but they both stuck open & tough jumpers. Yi was active on the boards esp. 1st half.

Lack of physicality by Boone hurt last year & showed this game against a inspired Etan. Hopefully a start of a good comeback story for Etan. Boone was active on help D though.

CDR looked kinda timid out there. He had one play where he finally decided to get aggressive but some help D clogged his driving lane in the middle. At least he got to sweat it out in real game situation.

Vince looked good except he held the ball too long too many times stagnating the offense.

I know both coaches are Princeton guys but both seemed to throw in the Memphis offense too (at least it looked like that to me).

Nice to have Lopez as the option in the 4th quarter. This team was frustrating w/ the missed FT's past few years...speaking of which, Wizards did Nets a big favour missing FT's at the end.

I thought Frank let the bench play a tad too long the 2nd quarter & was a tad to slow to get Devin back in the 4th but overall his rotations were pretty good & kept fresh guys out there. Bench was good tonight.

game ball to Yi & Hayes for me.

Getting easy buckets, fastbreak points is going to be very difficult for this team all year. VC is a good outlet guy but not a good runner & the only other deer in the starting unit, Yi, is needed to coral rebounds so this is where RJ will be missed most...Devin has to be a one-man fast break and Nets have to be efficient on offense & have opposing teams have low FG% & low fastbreak points to win games...not much room for error.

1-0..and Warriors game is winnable (Warriors will be playing on the road on the back end of a back-to-back when they meet the Nets)...after that, well....tough going.

The team defense was excellent tonight!!!!!!! They help each other when one of them got beat.

YI was very good!!!!!!!!! VC was good I like the drives to the hoop which means he is healthy. Harris will be okay. Anderson was lost on D. Boone needs some games under his belt. We will finally have a true center with Lopez by Mid-December he will be staring.

Great Win!!!!!!!!!!!

Anderson shouldn't get a free pass as an "intelligent player" just because of the color of his skin.

There was a play where he showed very low basketball IQ on defense as he totally lost the ball and gave up an easy layup to Antawn Jamison. He's a rookie, so he needs to improve his bball IQ.

They showed a replay of it on the Wiz tv broadcast.

Point is where to play Sean ? Don't really see him fit other then backup / 3rd Center and maybe PF with Yi or smt like that at Center . Everybody that played tonight can score the basketball relatively good while Sean sadly can't .
