I wouldn't underestimate this young Bulls team.

Do I think we'll win? Sure. Blowout? It's possible, but this shouldn't be a "laugher" game going in. They are very athletic and have some talent, and don't forget what the Hawks put us through last postseason.

we'll just win because CHI will make too many young players mistakes.

Wonder how Deng will do against Pierce and vice versa.

But shouldn't Gordon or Hinrich be the starting 2-guard. I mean they were pretty good and last I heard thabo didn't have a shot [like Rondo]

i wondered why the bulls picked rose over beasley and then i saw rose play. damn. i probably still would have snagged beasley given the bulls weak front court but rose was a solid pick. the celtics should win but its no freebie. its not like they are the grizzlies

Keep in mind....this is the same Bulls team that made the playoffs a couple of years ago minus a bum named Ben Wallace.

So far they look like the team they are 2 years ago once again. So it shouldn't be too easy of a win.

Hopefully Bulls can keep this one close to make it competitive since it is on National TV and it would be pretty bad if Derrick Rose gets humiliated.

Hopefully Rose can play up to the competition, since that's what he's known for.....

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

The Celtics need to take care of buisness early against the Bulls. I'd like to see a blow-out so the starters can rest in the 4th quarter. The extra rest should come in handy for this long NBA season.

The reason I mention this is because I checked the box-score to the season opener against the Cavaliers and Ray Allen played 40 minutes, Pierce played nearly 40 minutes, and KG with 36 minutes. I dont want the Big 3 getting those kind of minutes all season long.

But I suppose it was necessary to play them that many minutes in order to beat the Cavs. But against weaker teams we need to blow them out so the starters can rest.

Cool game thread.

How do you guys determine the victory cigar count? Is it the person who scores the most in the game?

Edit: Nvm, I saw the other thread.

chicago has a nice looking bench. you got instant offense with Gordon, good d with Noah and Hinrich and an energy /hustle player in Nocioni.

Deng is a good matchup for Pierce. I hope KG and Ray aren't in a funk like last game.

I really dont understand why everyone thinks the bulls are so bad, I've always thought they where a very deep team, and now they have a great PG, Im going to this game so I can see how good rose is in person, but the C's should take care of buisness

Prediction: 98-91 C's

I'm kind of disappointed this isn't halloween themed, west. I hope that is just because your too busy, rather then overlooking the best holiday!

Rondo vs Rose will be a good match-up. Two great penetrators, one that's strong and the other that's lightning quick. Nice.

Just want to know what one u think is strong and what one to u think is lighting quick? IMO Rose combination of both.

As a bulls fan i'm interested to see how rando's length and quickness. I don't think we'll win. I just want us to put up a fight

I think we may see alot of TA this game in order to put him on Rose some when Rondo needs a breather. The bulls just don't have enough offensively to win this game.

Guess we'll get to test the theory once again that Deng is the great Pierce stopper.

Pierce had problems with Deng in the past, so I hope he will attack him early. Overall the Bulls are pretty undervalued. KG needs to put a few veteran moves on Thomas and Perkins needs to stop Gooden, who usually plays good against us. Than we will be safe :)

The game will be over half way through the 1st quarter.

Return to Boston Celtics
