Woooo! About time, I was getting worried. Its a 5 year extension worth about $60-$64 million. Sounds about right. Now we don't have to listen to the Blazers hecklers anymore!

Thank god. Can't say i was too worried that it would happen, but it's much more ease knowing that he's re-signed and we can stop hearing Portland fans give their $0.02 on how Portland is gonna make a run for him. lol

I could see another team offering more if we did not sign him and I feel that is a pretty fair contract as well. I'm glad to hear the news.

About fair market value for him, especially after Smith, Bogut, Deng, Iggy, and others all signed for a similar amount this past offseason.

Glad to have this done and to let Danny get back to getting better night in and night out.

This made my night as well. I think it was a great deal for us as well.

Seems like a reasonable contract. Glad to see DG will be in the blue and gold for a long time.

I'm too drunk to taste this chicken. Good move though. Fair money, and we dont have to speculate all season about losing Danny to a team offering an absurd amount of money.

Quick Q, anyone know if it's a flat contract, or 10% rate?

I'm assuming the 10.5% rate, but there are no details....Sham should have it in a few weeks.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

cap KILLER.

12/year? Wow, who the **** were they bidding against? Larry's imaginary friend? The ghost of Dennis Johnson? Himself?

He wasn't worth more than 10 a year. Wth has he done? He's done nothing. Terrible TERRIBLE deal. Good player, but POORLY managed for sure...

He's a pretty damn good player and getting better. Only issue is that SFs are a dime a dozen and if you look at a lot of the contracts people end up regretting SFs have a few of them (most are Cs though)

This was an easy call. Good job to Larry and Simons and Danny for taking care of this. I think this definitely saves the Pacers money over having to match and offer and I think in 5 years we will be talking about how much of a bargain this deal was. Anybody who has watched him play knows he is only going to get better by how hard he plays every game. That is the kind of intangible that can spread through a locker room and make an okay team a really good team.

If last year's Dunleavy wasn't a fluke, he and Granger are fun to watch, even to non-Pacer fans. They can be this century's Alex English and Kiki Vandeweghe.
