They made their shots...they won fair game.

We just didnt play up to spec. We didnt play cohesive, organized and structured basketball.

Nash has to assume the role of the scorer on this team, his turnovers in late game scenarios are only doing us in.

We need to stick our guns and play to our strengths.

-Posting up Shaq against the lesser competition he played. Everytime the ball went to Shaq something good usually happened
-Posting up Diaw against the poor NO frontcourt was good strategy that we can get away with on most teams second units
-High screen and roll with Nash and Amare will always be our main strength
-Hill, Barbosa and specifically Nash must assume the role driving/creating shots and scoring when the time comes up.
-the rest of this team just really has to make their shots and defend well.

We played horrible, and looked jumbled out there. Sometimes we just need to play simple ball to win.

And while that victory over SA was nice, a victory of NOH would have meant so much more to me.

not me at all

if you said suns would start 1 and 1, who do you want to beat, i say san an every time

I get the grudge victory, but it was a cheap victory IMO b/c they didn't have Gino OR Oberto. And it's not like we didn't beat them in the regular season last year. NOH is the team that is a good barometer for us; if we can finally beat NOH, then we're making some progress.

Really? How's that possible? I thought thata Amare sucked on D because of D'Antoni. Damn, even Amare stated it. Must be the goggles then...

No seriously, if Amare doesn't start playing good D he should shut the f*** up forever. I really didn't like how he turned his back on D'Antoni as soon as he was gone and pointed his finger at him for last year's elimination against the Spurs. Not taking your responsabilities (which Amare had) isn't a sign of great maturity.

Seconded.

Lots to take out of this game, amongst the turnovers. I'm hoping Shaq is ok?

James Posey the thug, breaking the Suns down in the fourth - painful to watch. I thought Amare defended David West quite well for a little while there. It's going to take Lopez a bit of time to get up to speed with those fouls - 3 in the first minute and a half!

I think we're going to have to see more offensive output from Hill and Diaw. It also won't hurt once Barbosa gets up to speed.

It was a back-to-back; I don't think Shaq not playing a lot is a bad thing.

Amare and David West both suck on D.

The main thing I've seen in both games is Amare doesnt get the ball nearly as much as he should. He should never be only shooting 12 times a game when hes shooting 75%. I think I only saw one Amare iso in 3 qtrs before I had to go to bed. Whats up with that?
