Hey, guys, just stopped by to wish you guys good health, but bad luck tonight.

Stop by and see us if you get a chance...your D looks pretty nasty, so far.

I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

I don't understand why the game threads have been so dead so far! Well I get why the Halloween one was (but still there are usually more posts then that at the beginning of the season), but the first one was just so short.

The first two games have been pretty boring compared to last year. You expect that with Cleveland, Chicago just shot so poorly and fouled so much that the game was over before the 2nd quarter even though we didn't play that great offensively. Pruitt and POB playing was cool, but they only got like 4 minutes. I hope this game is either really competitive or a total drubbing where we are really clicking on offense like game 6. And, oh yeah, I hope we win too!

Apparently, science has proven that fans don't like winning teams.

Think about it, which are the biggest fan bases on RealGM?

Knicks?
Raptors?

i feel like there is less to talk about

"so everything is good huh, 2-0?"

"yup"

it was good to see the bench guys get some run... id like to see either walker or pruitt active so if were up we can see a debut cameo. i know doc wants his guys to earn their minutes, but i find it hard to believe they arent playing better or harder than POB in practice...well maybe giddens isnt because docs comments suggest things arent clicking for giddens yet.

on a side note, i expect giddens to start contributing, even on a small scale, as soon as things start to click

haha. I think we still have a lot of fans. They just don't have much to say.
Knicks, Raptors, Bulls had a huge thread, Magic seem to have a ton. Magic and Raptors I think are technically considered winning teams though. ;)

I will say that losing does seem to breed more posting. Given the choice between winning and having a lot of posts, i'll take the win.

Rasho Nesterovic's head photoshopped on Austin Croshere's body? Damn.

Anyways, I only have three words for Celtic fans...

YOU WILL LOSE*

Celtics should be well rested for this game. I say they win by 8.

if we were a losing team I would be watching this game to:

1) see if one of our players can bring it, everynight. And how effectively they can
2) to see if we have an identity
3) to see if we have a clear leader. And how good of a leader that person is.
4) To see if our team has enough talent to make it all work
5) to see if Doc is putting our players in posistions to win or develop
6) To scout the other side for potential trades or free agent pick ups
7) To see the person I most blame for losing contribute to the losing
8) To see any miricale suprise players that will allow us to have a better chance at winning.

Since we are the champs and they are the bottom of the confrence I now am watching to
1) Academically look at a victory and be happy that everything is going fine.

I'll also have less feeling about it as I watch. Hell if Patrick O'Bryant plays tonight and does well I'll just think to myself Great! Hopefully that can continue. If not, then oh well he might get it. And if he doesn't play then oh well he needs to earn his minutes anyways. There really is nothing to discuss about our team whereas it pertains to tonights game.

TCT: Pruitt already got some run last night and looked pretty good! Hopefully the team opens this season the same way as last year. If things are going well, I would expect Doc to try and reward Walker at some point by getting him some run over Scal.

POB and Pruitt will continue to get the Big Baby treatment from last year. Limited minutes, but with a chance to impress and earn more.

Yeah this is OBIE Ball. Go to KG he cannot be stopped. Granger is on fire right now. Hopefully Pierce can cool him off.

OMG Violent Palmer is Blind ---she just seems to NOT want to call a foul when the C's go to the hoop....Ray Allen was fouled twice on that last drive!

Return to Boston Celtics
