I think Bowen is finally slowing down noticeably. It's a sad state of affairs, but it's just the way it is. His defense simply isn't where it needs to be to make up for his incompetence on offense.

we cant tank if we know we are in the zhits this season, we dont have a first round pick.
its only 2 games, i give them 10-14 games to gell.....i think pop is still working out the rotations...likeed 4th quarter lineup of duncan, udoka, mason, finely, parker

It's as good an 0-2 as you could want...no need to panic yet. I love what I'm continuing to see from Mason, and Duncan is playing as well as he ever has on offense. The problem is that he has virtually no help on defense, however. We need another shot-blocker in there...

I think it's much too early in the season to write-down Bruce like that
I mean, this may be be the season where there is enough of a drop-off from him, but I'm not buying it as an actuality until it's a consistency later on.
I also think the hole left by Manu offensively relates to Bruce to some extent

0-2..lost by 1 possession to 2 good teams, without some very key rotation players..we'll get better..
Parker
Mason
Ginobili
can anybody stop that backcourt when they'll be on the floor together?..

I'm loving our backcourt, mostly. It's the frontcourt that seriously concerns me.

That is the biggest concern I would have if I were a spurs fan. Don't panic guys you are still a class team that is the class act of the NBA, be proud! GO BLAZERS!!Blame Rasho wrote:We shot 56%... and we still lost... eek

It is funny... usually whenever we sign a player we automatically give him a pass for the first season. It takes a while for them to find their niche. Mason has done a respectable job in the mins he has played in.

Well right now it is basically Tim and no one else... we were playing small ball far too often. Thomas has not given us anything. Bonner gives up significantly more points than he can put up. ****... is that all our bigs right now?

Yeah... but we need every W that we can muster. LAst night I thought we should have been blown out in the 1st half, we were right there in the end and it would have been nice to get the W on a night where I thought we were outplayed.

Re: Game 2: Spurs vs. Blazers
definitely..but it's hard to think that we won't beat the MANY average and bad teams in the NBA, even with the questionable performances we've seen in the 1st 2 games..the problem is that NO MATTER WHO WE PLAY, Duncan and Parker are gonna have to perform at a playoff level, which obviously sucks..
I don't foresee any blowout wins for us with Manu out..
Dallas is a winnable game, just like our first 2 games..
