I also noticed a lot of reluctance to shoot on your team. A lot of times there were open shots on the perimeter but, the clipper just hesitated until a Jazz player finally rotated over. Well, it wasn't a large hesitation, but, there was definitely time to shoot. What's up with that? The coach getting on folks for shooting open shots?

I think he played too many minutes against the Nuggets (48+) and it caught up with him tonight.

^ Just read all the post game stuff on here and you'll see.

I was hoping that Al would have another good game but he did play a lot of minutes on Friday. I guess it is some what of an improvement to not keep losing by 38 points. At least we lead for a little bit in our last two games. I wasn't really getting my hopes up either last night at half time since we blew that big lead on Friday. We just need to play hard for 48 minutes. It seems like our shots aren't going down in the second half.

Last night against Utah I don't know if we were bricking shots because we were tired or because we were just sucking. Maybe some rest and going back home will help us for Monday. Plus Camby might be ready to play so that should help our rebounding and interior defense.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

^ True about Camby but our backcourt will still suffer if Baron stays on the mend for the next few games.

The Clippers played well...for one half last night. Mobley was making some tough shots and Taylor was playing his ass off. Then in the third quarter Dun resorted back to last year's stagnant offense, combined with Utah's defensive presence to not let them score easy buckets...and that means to have the Clipps take more tough shots to even stay close with Utah.

Kaman looked awful yet again. The Olympics did something to him.

Taylor, Mobley, Thornton, Thomas, Skinner ---> With that lineup out there last night, you should be able to fast break/run'n'gun all night, but Dun is too smart for that.

Dun SR needs to stay in the GM office and never coach this team again for the rest of the season. maybe Cassell is available?

Jazz Commit 5 Turnovers Against Clips

Post#109 » by NYCF » Mon Nov 3, 2008 4:37 pm

The Jazz set a team record in committing only 5 turnovers against the Clippers the other night (must have been that "suffocating" D constantly being preached by Dunleavy). What's even more amazing is that they did it in a game where they didn't have their tremendous starting point guard. What an indictment of the Clippers pathetic effort.

In any event, 5 turnovers for a team in a 48 minute game really isn't that impressive. On those occasions when he is playing at peak efficiency, it takes Kaman at least a game-and-a-half to commit 5 turnovers.
