yea he was higher on him then anyone which came as a real shock, and im assuming the organization sees him as a starter but i havent made the trip to frisco to get to see him but i dont know how good his secondary stuff is, but yea he's hitting upper 90's consistently on his fastball

and i think he skipped high a b/c bakersfield is ridiculous, it's like 350 to CF, who wants to pitch in that especially a high ranked prospect, hell derek holland only pitched 31 innings there and the organization saw he was legit and wanted to get him the f*ck outta there. there's a reason why we're finally out of the league

Oh, and my boy Triunfel is doing quite well, thanks. His power is neither here nor there and his plate discipline is still developing but all in all scouts agree that he's doing pretty well in High A for someone that was born in the 1990's.

Oh, and a critique on the way everyone all you prospect buffs draft. You're all way too caught up in getting a guys with 30+ HR potential or a high 90s fastball, which is how a clutz like Bove ends up with an MVP guy like Pedroia. Take the guy who knows how to play the game every once in a while and let the chips fall where they may. I'm going to be pretty happy in a couple years when Jimmy passes his peak and I've got two guys who are gonna hit .290 with 20 HR and 30 SB instead of some big stud who might jack 40 if he pans out the right way. Of course, I only comment on this because I know it falls on deaf ears.

bigboy, serious question. If you had your pick between Chris Tillman, Brett Anderson and Wade Davis, who would you go with?

Well yeah the Cal league is a bitch to pitchers, but so is the Texas league (and same with PCL). A jump from low A ball to AA ball is pretty big. And Bakersfield isn't even bad as a park. It's pretty much the same as Frisco as compared to league average. Now I could probably understand if it was High Desert or Lancaster which are just crazy hitting enivorments, but overall compared to the rest of the Cal League Bakerfield is actually a slightly pitchers park, although it allows more HR then the normal Cal park.

Andrus has never skipped a level and he's never been a league average hitter. Granted when you take into account his defense he is an above league player, but you still have to have questions about his bat.
which is how a clutz like Bove ends up with an MVP guy like Pedroia.

I don't even think bove drafted him, not 100% sure though. I know I picked him up and had to release him before bove did.

I'm not sure they are all pretty close. I'd probably go Brett, Tillman, then Davis. Davis had the worst year of the 3, last year Tillman had the worst year of the three. Tillman may have the higher upside though, but I would say Brett is a decent amount more safe.

Alright, I've decided with the potential for Teixeira to be signed by the Sox, I'm going to dangle Evan Longoria out there and see what people would be willing to give back. Yes, that's right, Evan Longoria. The guy 25 teams would pick first if they were starting a team from scratch. That's not to say he's "on the block" but if someone is willing to wow me with... I dunno, a top young player or two (SP is preferable) and a bounty of prospects, I might be willing to part with him. Anyone interested?

Man, I wish you could dangle Delmon, you know everyone wants to get there hands on the next Vlad. Oh well I guess I'll have to wait until you release him in a year.

I'm still not trading Delmon. I believe in him even if nobody else is still willing to. It's stupid really. He's less than a month older than Longoria and so many people have given up on him. When everyone is saying to themselves, "Wow, look at what Evan Longoria is doing at such a young age," there's Delmon having a second successful full season in the majors and people are all disappointed because he hasn't shown incredible power and plate discipline yet. I still believe he's going to be a big time star. Maybe not Vlad in his prime, or Longoria in his prime but i think 100 R/30 HR/100 RBI/30 SB/.300 is still a legitimate expectation from Delmon three or four years from now.

Damn and I was going to offer you Lincecum for him, I guess if you won't trade him it can't happen.

I really don't recall people talking about Longoria's age, maybe that he was a rookie but there is a decent amount of players that were younger than Longoria in the bigs this year.

Delmon's second successful season in the majors? Are you serious? He sucks balls in the field and should be a DH with a league average OPS. Hasn't showed incredible power? How about much power at all. He showed less power than Coco Crisp this year.

Of course you think that he'll get that, I mean he already has 26 HR and 26 SB in 1435 PA so far, no problem.

You're just mad because Delmon's mashing in the bigs while Colby can't cut it in AAA. Also, I will take Delmon for LIncecum if it's still on the table.

I didn't even realize Delmon Young still played baseball.

Alright, I'm just going to take the lack of response to the email I sent out as a sign that you guys aren't really too concerned with the distribution of the prospects and we'll go forward with the plan I outlined. We'll do the reverse order from the regular player distribution draft and get these guys in the new managers' systems. The order in which the managers pass on their picks will determine the order of the supplementary picks, however this draft will have no bearing on the order you guys pick in the regular part of the prospect draft (because the order is determined by a random number sequence and nobody knows where they're picking yet). I'll post the list of prospects again for you guys.

Somebody take all my prospects. I don't want them. Maybe.

Yeah, I'm starting to think maybe there should only be 5 rounds. It's almost like saying, "here, take another supplementary prospect draft pick," but then I thought... let's say people start passing in the third round. Maybe someone will think it's worth it to take a flyer on Daniel Moskos instead of the last supplementary pick, you know? Because realistically with all the passing and stuff, there's still going to be guys left in the 6th round. Losers, but still prospects.

Wow, nice picks. Mauve continues to build his way up into being one of the top 6 teams. I see a couple more decent guys out there but it's going to be a crapshoot after the third round.
