Finally Detroit retools with a trade that sends Billups, McDyess, and Cheikh Samb to Denver for AI. I think this is exactly what our front office was waiting for to happen: A big time team trying to retool. And just in time Josh got his value back up with his great play.
Let me be the first to try for a Dallas - Detroit trade:
Tayshaun Prince, Richard Hamilton for Jerry Stackhouse, Josh Howard, and Brandon Bass
We get rid of the cancers that are Josh (value re-established), Stack (byebye), and a little extra in Brandon Bass for our perfect backcourt.
This has to happen!

Re: Detroit retooling
i dont think detroit has much use for a guy like bass since they already have maxiell and johnson
id love tayshaun and hamilton but i seriously doubt they'd do that trade since the centerpiece is howard and bass (which as previously stated bass would be redundant for them)
i think the trade they made today will be better for them, the pistons havent looked motivated as a team since they lost to the spurs in the finals and all those conference finals appearances were nice they seemed to have lacked a fire, i think this will rejuvenate them. and if it fails they have a crap load of cap room coming soon
