I didn't watch the game but what I saw from the box score was that again Utah didn't turn it over too much. We turned it over way too many times and we put them on the line a lot. We missed 11 free throws, that's not going to get it done. I see stat wise that Kaman had a good game. Dunleavy really needs to rethink his strategy with who TT should guard in the post. Milsap isn't a bad player but I'm guessing he's a huge reason why the Jazz won. I was looking at the box score and it looked like we stayed in it a lot longer than we normally do.
If we keep losing Dunleavy may see his coaching duties go out the door.

I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

You didn't do too well fellas, but I think there is something to work out with. I think the team needs to clamp down the defense, and become more like 76ers... exploit fast breaks, play gritty defense. I don't think Dunleavy Jr is anymore that guy, and I think Johnson or Van Gundy could do something productive with you guyses.
Things will be fine, we will see LAC being a much better team. Be scared of Memphis though.

No, they're not. A lot of teams would like to have our schedule at home...and according to NYCF we're just whining.

I didn't say a lot of teams would like our schedule. What I did say is that to have 8 of your first 10 games at home (and one of the "away" games at Staples) is a huge advantage, no matter who the opponent is. Doesn't matter anyway, playoffs this year are already a pipedream.
Baron gets a pass due to the fact that he played injured last night but boy did he stink up the joint. He put up more bricks last night than Walter McCarty did during his entire stint with the Clippers years ago. Ah, Walter McCarty. We could really use him this year to provide some much needed comic relief. All kidding aside, Walter was probably one of the top ten worst players to ever play in the NBA.

Average margin of defeat so far this miserable season, an astounding 21.5 PPG.
BTW, announced attendance was 12,172. Does that mean that the actual number of people seated to watch this game was more like 7,500? I feel bad for STHs and others who actually pay to see this team play.

We got worked on the boards last night, especially late in the game. Too many easy put backs for Utah. I don't understand why TT was left in there so long. No Paul Davis or Brian Skinner at all. Sometimes you just need fresh legs and big bodies. And sometimes you just need hard fouls.
Thornton was outmatched on both ends by AK47.
I like the fast pace of Mike Taylor but he turns it over too much. Also, too much standing around in our offensive sets. I hate seeing TT get the ball on the block.
At least kaman played well. Baron's passes helped him a lot.

Skinner and PD could have been our anti-Millsap/AK47

I don't think PD even played yesterday... Skinner was very limited on minutes even with the great defense he's shown the first 3 games. When Millsap was owning up Timmy he should have brought either of them in.

They aren't necessarily the answer, but what we had wasn't working. Between them they have almost 14ft and 12 fouls.
I think what we need to change most right now is our style of play. The slowdown, half-court, throw it on the block just isn't working. Its not a bad style if you have the right players, but right now we just don't have the horses.

If Dumbleavy was a great GM, he would do what great GM's do and fire the coach of an underperforming team!! Is he this blind to see the coach has to go? Quit making excuses for him because he's using those same excuses everytime they lose. He needs to be accountable for his actions.

Re: Game 4: Clippers (0-3) vs. Jazz (2-0)
Tim Thomas was guarding Paul Millsap during Millsap's fantastic run in the fourth quarter. There's the problem answered.
We played well defensively for a good 3 quarters, then we just collapsed. Dun's rotations aren't the best so far, and I knew the Clipps were going to struggle in the first couple of game, but not this poorly. Their defense (particularly Kaman) has been awful, and the shot selection is very questionable on the offensive end (particularly Mobley).
Thank god it was only the third game of the season.
