Peja making progress...

Post#1 » by Copperhead » Tue Nov 4, 2008 3:28 am

I'm thinking he may be out a week rather than a couple of weeks. Don't rush him. Let that ankle get right.

Also, they said in another article that Tyson moved well in practice on Sunday and that it's possible he could play on Wednesday and if not Wednesday, then perhaps Friday.

New Orleans Hornets injured starting forward Peja Stojakovic was jogging and running to spots on the court to take jump shots Monday.

It was part of his rehabilitation drills to recover from a sprained right ankle, but Coach Byron Scott said he was totally shocked by Stojakovic's progress.

Sounds like both Peja and Tyson could be able to play on Wednesday.

NOTES: Starting center Tyson Chandler and Stojakovic participated in Tuesday's full-court scrimmage, and Coach Byron Scott said both are likely to play tonight.

"We'll see how they feel (this) morning, but I'll say right now both are a go, " Scott said.

Chandler has missed the past two games with a sprained right ankle. Stojakovic sprained his right ankle against Phoenix and missed last Saturday's game against Cleveland.

For the past two practices, Stojakovic has made cuts and moved with no limitations. Peterson also returned to practice after having a sore neck Monday

Could probably use them both tonight, these aren't your good 'ol pushover Hawks they're going against tonight.

I agree. And if they both think they're good enough to go tonight, then by all means, let them go.
