this is always a hard match up for the Hawks. i felt good going into the Orlando and Phily game, but not this one, the Hornets just have the Hawks' number

i'm not sure if Chandler is playing. if he doesn't, it will favor the Hawks, but it does not guarantee a win.

i hope Horford, and/or Smith, and Zaza can beat up on Hamilton

i hope Bibby has a good shooting night to off set Paul's scoring. i think the Hawks need to run some screens just for Bibby to get him so open looks and make Paul run around

Joe "The Closer" needs to be Joe. Let Joe be Joe

i think the real key to a Hawks victory is if Marvin can dominate Peja. Marvin just needs to post him up, put the ball on the floor, take him to the rim, and and bully Peja. Marvin has all the tools to dominate Peja, it is just a question if he does or doesn't

Hornets have had their way with the Hawks recently. I still see it as a good measuring stick on the road early.

No betting line on the game yet because of the uncertainty behind Chandler (missed last game) and Peja (left last game).

Was Peja in a New Kids on the Block tribute band? I'm just saying.

Yay!!!! The annual "Billy-Knight-is-the-devil-and-needs-to-die" game! This one is usually the most depressing game of the year, but I've got high hopes this year considering the way we're playing defense right now.

And Harry- despite our differences in the past....MUCH RESPECT for protraying my man Zaza as the Golden God that he truly is. That sh*t made me laugh out loud when I saw it! Nice work, my friend.

New Orleans favored to win by 9. O/U is 195.

Tyson Chandler and Peja Stojakovic are expected to play tonight.

This is going to be a major test. I don't really see much of a chance to win the game, the Hornets are a championship caliber team.

Not expecting much in this game. I am just hoping it is competitive. What i really want to see is other guys stepping up offensively. We aren't going to win consistently without some offensive production from Mo/Marvin/Acie etc.

i also have been thinking that the Hawks should take the same strategie against the Magic and use it against the Hornets and have Joe guard Paul and put Bibby and Flip on Peterson.

This is a brutal matchup for the Hawks. Bibby has no chance against Paul. West is the kind of player that gives Smith trouble. Chandler has length that Horford doesn't. With a different personality the matchup that favors the Hawks is Marvin against Peja- but who knows if Marvin will actually be able to exploit that. The Hawks need Joe to take advantage of Mo pete as well- Ive always thought he was overrated on defense.

If at any point in this game it looks like Joe is taking advantage of Mo, I expect Posey will get more PT.

I'm pretty sure we've lost every game against Paul since he's been drafted.

Hornets are 5-1 against the Hawks since Paul was drafted. The game the Hornets lost in Paul's rookie season, Paul didn't play.

So our best hope is that Chris Paul gets called away for jury duty or something. On ESPN's First Take, Josh Smith said that they match up well with the Hornets. Huh? I don't quite see it that way. I still see it as a good measuring stick against a very good team.

Too bad Chandler is playing tonight. He is an impossible cover for Horford, dude is just too freaking big.

Maybe Woody should get Horford to take Paul out the way he did TJ Ford. They just need to make sure they do it in the first quarter.

You see, I was thinking of how cool it was of evildallas to say Paul getting called away for jury duty rather than saying something about Paul getting hurt. But of course not all opposing fans are cool.

yeah, and some opposing fans can recognize a joke born of the frustration of having to live with "they drafted Marvin over Paul" for years.

We drafted Marvin Williams over Chris Paul?
