Yeah, they both have that slow speech pattern.... I was just glad they showed a little personality during that "name that Hawk" game.

I watched it on the second showing. They started the segment by pointing out that Joe is leading the NBA in scoring right now and Josh Smith is #1 in steals and #2 in blocks. It's very early.
It shows that they aren't very used to doing this kind of interview, which isn't surprising given the lack of media coverage of the Hawks. They did seem high with the chuckling, but it all fairness when they are serious they come across as mad and intimidating (deep, slow speech).
Funny part of the "name that Hawk" segment was the question:
Which Hawk got his nickname from his gymnastics prowess at the age of 10?
After chuckling a bit, Josh Smith turned to Joe and said "Is it Joe Johnson?" The rapid denial was humorous. Ultimately they had to be told it was Ronald "Flip" Murray. Seems like gymnastics has a bit of stigma among basketball players.
