I think this trade is perfect for both teams. The run and gun thing for denver has not worked out and now they need some stability at the point to complements the rest of this team.

I think detroit had the opposite problem. Too much stability i guess? You need a wildcard to kind of open up the game. I think Sheed will benefit from the freer flow of the game.

Now minus gayshaun prince, you gotta like that team.

I can't see that happening either. He's owed 13+ million over 2 years. They only trimmed like 5 million off their cap this year with the deal and they're still over the lux tax so unless they can convince him to take 2.5 million as a buyout, that will cost them more than it would keeping AI which makes it pointless. McDyess I don't think would EVER give up 11 million dollars just so he could go back to Denver.

I like the deal for Detroit, I just don't undestand totally why Denver is taking on more salary. They only become marginally better to me. Unless they finally found a taker for K-Mart (who's been playing great so you wonder if they're showcasing him) or Nene, this deal doesn't make a whole lot of sense. They're still a 2nd round out at best in the west and now have lux tax problems for a few more years.

Your right i don't think Dumars wants him back and Dice says he's gonna retire if he can't go back to detroit. But money talks right.I no someone that works for his agent andy miller.

Yeah I've actually read that Denver has been throwing around the buyout idea more and more. Problem is, the number it would take is roughly 10 million spread over this season and next. The buyout doesn't put them under the lux tax this year or next year, so this will likely cost them about 20 million over 2 years. If you're a top 5 market, I could see it as a possibility that your owner would take the hit like that. But when only half the teams in the NBA are making a profit right now, I can't see Denver doing it.

I, however, could see them trading him to a contender or something and get a player in return that is willing to sit on the bench in a suit and earn a paycheck....like Brian Scalabrine.

I could see Veal rocling a Nuggets Fila jump suit on the sidelines with some browwn tinted aviator frame sunglasses and a tight to the neck gold chain with a tiny medallion.
