Tough game coming up. Raptors give us trouble all the time. This will be a test for the defense.

Jermaine O'Neal has alot of haters on this board, and i don't know why. he is going to give the Hawks alot of problems and the Hawks are going to have to respect him.

Smoove and Bosh are always fun to watch.

Joe "the Closer" and Marvin "the Shooter" need to do just that

i'm always in favor for giving more minutes to Flip (since day one), but this is one of those match ups where i am not scared for Bibby. i'm not really scared of Jose because Bibby matches up well against Jose. Bibby should be able to hold his own against Jose. and i still think Hawks should start running some Reggie Miller type of screens for Bibby to get him going and hopfully repel his streaky shooting.

I think haters is a bit strong. A lot of us expressed no desire to trade for him and his $20M salary when Indiana was rumored to be shopping him. That comes from him spending the last 4 years starting over 50 games only once. He's also seen his per minute scoring numbers shrink and his FG% drop to the low 40s. Adding the salary to the health to the sliding numbers and then factoring in what we would have had to give up makes the reluctance to trade for him make a lot of sense.

He's healthy right now and will probably give us problems and free up Bosh to give us even more problems. I'll be surprised if he's healthy for all 4 dates with Toronto this year, but any time he is healthy I will respect his defensive presence.

. His offensive game is on one of the most rapid declines in NBA history at only 30 and he makes Kobe/Duncan type money. I thought the Pacers got the much better end of the trade although it was pretty clear Toronto had to trade Ford.

Seriously i went back and checked and JO hasn't done crap against the Hawks in years. Over the last two seasons he is averaged 12 ppg shooting under 40%. He has gotten off to a weak start this season.

I am just glad they don't have TJ Ford any more. He gave us all kinds of problems.

This will be tough for us Raps, the Hawks have went out and beat playoff teams of last season while playing on the road.

I like watching JJ and Smoove play, and I'm sure they'll give us fits, but this is the game for O'Neal to take advantage of the smaller (though built like a tank) Horford.

Bosh will be Bosh, and Calderon will be Calderon, both have been on fire lately. Although I hear JJ has been on fire lately too.

This is a sure test for both teams, but I'm gunning for the Raps :D

Good Luck fellas!

JO might not do much but his presence gives Bosh a lot of room to operate. I'd be worried about Bosh lighting it up if I was the Raps. Moon can run and jump with J Smith but I think JJ will be unstoppable like usual.

When Smith gets to play Bosh, he generally does a decent job and for some reason Horford doesn't play Bosh particularly well. The problem is that it takes Smith out of position to give help around the hoop. I think Ford's departure helps here but Chil's does too, Woody tried to be smart and play Chil on TJ and we just got lit up. I wouldn't mind seeing Joe on Jose but again, I get concerned about him tiring. If Marv is on Moon, I want to see him giving help on Bosh when he has the ball in the high post and on Jose if he breaks down his defender.

Offensively, this is the game where I'd like to see us open up a bit. Less Joe isos, more pick and rolls, more movement from the bigs.

We didn't have an ultra-convincing win against Philly and T.O. has a solid team this season so the guys better come out with the same fight they've been showing because if you fall behind against the Raps, you can't expect that they will start missing jumpers.

Lets go Hawks.

Al Horford will need to have more field goal attempts during this game or pump fake and time the contact right with Chris or Jermaine. That'll increase our chances of getting the Toronto bigs into foul trouble which will force Toronto to keep them off the court. While Chris Bosh doesn't foul much, Jermaine does, so the better our chances of winning if we can keep the two off the court together.

Anyone playing the 3 for us during this game will be key to our success during the game. We must have solid production from our 3's on both ends of the floor. Marvin and Maurice should be able to take advantage of this.

Maybe Philly wins against Orlando (favored by 5) tonight and we can return the favor by beating Toronto tomorrow night.

JO beat the Hawks the last two time the Hawks faced his team. i remember both of those games, JO was a monster on defense, and the tides turned against the Hawks when he came in and shut down the paint against the Hawks.

Horford should be getting more shots and Bibby less. Bibby is shooting 34% so far and he definitely isn't shy.

JO wasn't the one raining 3 pointers all game. He might slow down our inside scoring but we haven't scored much inside in any game this year.

I fear Zaza....because nothing will be easy for us!!!

Looking forward to this game. Hawks have really surprised me and I respect this squad a lot.

Joe Johnson is something else and so is Chris Bosh.

I am hoping for hard fouls and big dunks.....let's do this.

I'm just glad Ford is gone and we're not going to suffer with his drives to the basket untill we face the Pacers. The Raptors lost some depth with that trade. I know Horford can hold his own against O'Neal. The matchup between Smith and Bosh worries me a bit more. Now, for the ones who think Murray should take Bibby's minutes, just think first. Bibby is a PG. Murray isn't. I understand that Murray is a very good scorer, but we have been playing good when Bibby is running this team as well. It's true that Bibby might take few shots, but I was very pleased with the way this team shared the ball last night. I think they finally know what team basketball is all about. Let's just hope we come out ready from minute 1.
GO HAWKS.

Personally, I don't think Flip should take Bibby's minutes, but at crunch time I like Woodson using some coaching discretion to leave the hot guy on the floor or to try to exploit a particular matchup. Sometimes Bibby will be the man, sometimes it will be Flip, it is even possible that Acie is hot. Personally not going to argue with success at this point.

I'm assuming it was the Olympics, but it just seems as if Chris has another perspective for the game, and he's using it to his advantage. I do feel Jermaine is going to take pressure off him all season long, but Chris has grown as a player, and he's already taking his game to another level.

Chris has just become more focused and intense, similar to KG. He has been bringing it whether it's a game or a practice. He struggled shooting the ball against the Pistons, but was doninant in our 3 wins.

I love Joe Johnson's game. I wish he played for the Raps.
