This actually came out of a simple carney for williams swap, which may be a bit short on value but is probably close if you toss the BOS pick at it. REGARDLESS....the nj part is close.
New Jersey Nets
Incoming Players: Rodney Carney
Outgoing Players: Sean Williams
Minnesota Timberwolves
Incoming Players: Larry Hughes Joakim Noah
Outgoing Players: Jason Collins, Brian Cardinal, Rodney Carney
Chicago Bulls
Incoming Players: Jason Collins Sean Williams Brian Cardinal
Outgoing Players: Larry Hughes, Joakim Noah
nj: They have enough bigmen in their rotation williams is 5th if I recall, no minutes for this guy and he is slightly out of favor.
chi: noah has fallen out of favor, and this teams 5 spot is horrid from the looks of it. A swap of Noah to Williams could be a good move, they get collins incoming to play some 5(could instead send swift from nj). They cut 6m off hughes next year too.
mn: I actually like the prospect of williams for a 3rd big for mn when paired with love\al, but this is more interesting. hughes would actually see minutes here, as opposed to useless cardinal. frees up 1 roster spot, and possibly another as the team could cut ollie and have hughes be 3rd string pg if necessary.

Re: MN - NJ - CHI
I hate Larry Hughes, so I'm trying not to like this deal, but I kind of do.
I might just stop at your first deal of Carney for Sean Williams, but the CHI spin is interesting.
Noah has been MIA this season, seeming lost and uninterested in many of his games. His value has dropped a great deal behind the surging Tyrus Thomas, and while he would have cost a fortune last season, this year I can definitely see the Bulls trading him much cheaper. Last year's Noah would be a good fit .. I hope he continues to grow.
Larry Hughes can play some, but he's just so expensive, that he's one of the worst contracts in the league. He can play a little defense too when he is healthy, and he's supposed to be back soon even after we dislocated his shoulder. However, a Cardinal + Collins for Hughes deal means that the Bulls save $6 mil next year, and I wonder if we can get that much value from him. Even if we can, I'd prefer to give them the $6 mil for the trade in two $3 mil parts -- $3 mil up front this year (which they might prefer), and $3 mil next season. Collins may be useful to us this year. Maybe something like:
MIN GIVES: Carney + Cardinal + Madsen + Booth
MIN GETS: Noah + Hughes
NJN GIVES: Sean Williams
NJN GETS: Carney + Ollie
CHI GIVES: Noah + Hughes
CHI GETS: Sean Williams + Cardinal + Madsen + Booth
CHI has the roster space to absorb both contracts, with Michael Ruffin and Demetrius Nicholds on unguaranteed contracts, so they can take on our guys, and even even buy them out if they wish. For us, it clears our boards, gives us the opportunity to bring Chris Richard back, and room for as many firsts as we want to sign next year.
Larry Hughes is a one-way ticket, so his $13.65 mil is probably unmovable next year, and hopes for moving Cardinal and having options in 2009 are crushed. However, I agree that your deal would improve the team.

Re: MN - NJ - CHI
My problem with bringing in a guy like Hughes lies more in the fact that not one guard is on his way out in this deal. Foye, Telfair, McCants, Miller, Brewer and now we are adding a veteran in Hughes? Brewer likely suffers the most since the SG position is more stacked and this forces Witt to play Gomes at the 3 so Miller and Brew will see even less time there.
Maybe if McCants was outgoing....

Just to let you know, Larry Hughes is awful and will expect to be a starter, and so far this season Noah pretty much stinks.

Re: MN - NJ - CHI
Someone on the trade board used these 3 teams as a step in a Chicago rebuilding project. There went like so.
Personally, i think Chicago gets great value for Noah in Williams, a late 1st rounder, and another 1st rounder. I do like Noah, and McCants seems to be on Witt's bad side. NJ probably ends up wanting more.
CellarDoor wrote:...Trade 2: Chicago/Minnesota/NJ
Chicago sends: Noah, 2nd
Chicago receives: Williams, Ager, Boston 1st
Minnesota sends: McCants, Boston 1st

NJ sends: Williams, Ager
NJ receives: McCants
Why for Minnesota: They get their C to fill in their 3rd big with Love/Jefferson.
Why for New Jersey: special note: this presupposes a VC trade. I just didn't want to throw that in and get a trade shot down because I couldn't find the right trade for that portion. NJ gives up a big who's apparently in their doghouse to fill a need for a nice slashing shooter at SG to replace Vince.
Why for Chicago: Noah appears to be in the doghouse for whatever reason. We trade him for another young big and a late 1st. JR can sell the first for extra lunch money if he'd like. Personally I'd prefer he use it though.

I traded for Noah in nba 2k9. But trading in that game is too easy seeing as i also got Marc Gasol and Felton for nothing. lol
Anyway I Completely agree with the majority, can't stand Hughes.
