I don't like this trade. You might as well change are name to the bobcats.I like our team ,were better than the bobcats. The only player i like in this trade is J richardson cuz i'd rather have him than VC. I like okafor but Boone can give us the same thing 10pts 10brds so its really not worth it if u ask me.And i'm not giving up Devin case closed.

Re: Link to a CHA-NJN Proposal
I don't know if I'd do this trade. Basically I think you can break this down into 3 parts:
Part 1: Carter for Richardson
I think Carter is the better player. Yes they get younger and cheaper, but Richardson will probably be leaving his prime when the Nets are ready to contend again and the $3 mil a year savings is unlikely to make a huge difference in terms of the future cap scenario. Also, if you're going to have a PG as inexperienced as Augistin running the show, Vince's passing/ball handling is that much more important.
Part 2: Harris for Okafor
I like Okafor, and trading small for big, usually is good, but considering the difference in contracts and health, I think it's a closer swap than most people think.
Part 3: Boone and SWAT for Augistin
I don't like this swap at all, though I'll admit most people like Augistin more than I do. Boone looks like he could be a nice PF/C for a while.
In conclusion, I think the dropoff from Harris to Augistin is bigger than Okafor to Boone. Plus I'd rather dump Carter for picks/cap space (we know the offers) instead of paying Richardson $14.5 million in 2010/11.
