I'm going catch this game.

Haven't seen a game since opening night against the Wiz.

It'll be interesting if the Pistons can keep their team personality together with AI. I've always thought the team and style reflected Billups court calm demeanor. Whereas AI has a high basketball gravity -- meaning he dominates whenever he's on the floor. The Pistons are famous for their starless style of play. And Billups would take (and often make) their clutch shots --- AI doesn't seem to have that knack.

Go go Nets!!!!

I think AI is exactly type of player they needed to get to the next level. They have a solid core of skilled players, but they needed that wildcard player who can unleash on people.

In any case, i hope AI kills devin and hurts his feelings in the first half so that he'll man up and play better. If that's what it takes then ill take a loss tonight.

I think sean wiliams would be a better matchup against sheed. I think the athleticism and length will bother a sheed who isn't particularly crafty and athletic himself. I think sheed will feel too comfortable against boone.

This is gonna be ugly, Detroits defense is gonna be a little softer but Iverson's offense makes up for it in a big way. I dont know if I even want to go to the game tonight. If anyone else is going and sees some random guy leaving the arena super early thats me!

Stickied

Let's see how long it'll take AI to adjust to his new team. Considering the type of PG he is though, I think it's more of how the team will adjust to him.

if Nets win maybe dacher is the lucky charm & should be forced to watch all future Nets games.

VC tends to get post aggressive when being defended by Rip so that's always good. The bad - VC always struggles trying to chase Rip around screens. At least the Pistons aren't a 3pt oriented team (outside of Sheed...heh). Sheed is an exceptional post defender so Boone / Lopez are in for a long night - Nets will be forced to shoot & make perimeter shots to be competitive let alone win this game.

VC also seems to play well vs Iverson teams (be it 76ers / Nuggets and now Pistons). AI & Shaq are probably the biggest VC supporters in this league and AI/VC have mutual respect for one another (likely started from their classic playoff meeting).

I'm just waiting for one of these games where the Nets just shoot the lights out & unexpectedly blow out a team based solely on their (potential) hot perimeter shooting.

Who's backing up the 2 spot now that CDR is out...Hayes ? Hassell ? or....Ager (Is Hassell even ready to play now, if not I guess it would be Hayes then Najera spells Simmons...)...hrm.

Rasheed has actually been playing out of the post more this season. Stuckey and Afflalo can hit the 3 but don't really attempt alot. Rip, Tayshaun, Rasheed and Herrmann can all stroke it from behind the arc.

game 1 against the Wizards, Pistons shot 6-13 from 3
game 2 against the Pacers, Pistons shot 6-14 from 3
game 3 against the Bobcats, Pistons shot 8-16 from 3
game 4 against the Raptors, Pistons shot 3-12 from 3

game 4 aside.... Pistons have made teams pay for leaving them open from distance. They don't rely on it, but they will make you pay if you don't defend them.

Tough assumption on final score if you don't even know if Jarvis is playing.

Anywho.....

If Hayes plays, Pistons 102 - Nets 73

If Hayes doesn't play, Pistons 102 - Net 72

Seriously though, I'm predicting..............

Pistons 102 - Nets 93

Competitive game most throughout, couple runs for each team, Pistons lead most of the game, close to maybe around a 4-7 point lead late, late 4th, obligalatory fouls put the Pistons at the strip and boost the game to a 9 point Piston win.

Well, I'm being realisitic and it is a much better outcome then the abomination that was the Suns game.

Without VC on the floor, the offense is like Whoopi Goldberg wearing a cape, super ugly.

What four guys would you want on the floor with Lopez? If you said Dooling, Ager, Najera and Hayes then you are Lawrence Frank.

Can't Ager get lost in the bottom of a bong and never be found?

I'm starting to think Opie has been told to tank.
There is no other reason humanly possible that Ager actually got any burn.
