Drop CV for BWright? + Kidd trade

Post#1 » by eternalvendetta » Fri Nov 7, 2008 3:36 am

What do you guys think of Brandan Wright now that Nelson's going to start him and have Harrington ride the pine?

Also, I was offered Bibby and TMac for Kidd. That'd make Bibby my #1 PG, which is kind of a scary thought, and I don't want to deal with TMac's eventual injury woes. Still, I'm intrigued by the trade, and it'd be a nice alternative to ditch CV.

I'm in a 10-team, H2H league with standard categories.

My team:

PG Jason Kidd
SG Kevin Durant
G Corey Maggette
SF Danny Granger
PF Zach Randolph
F Rudy Gay
C Amare Stoudemire
C Pau Gasol
Util Josh Howard
Util Rudy Fernandez
Util Troy Murphy
BN Jameer Nelson
BN Manu Ginobili
BN Charlie Villanueva

i would wait on dropping charlie v...he posted a double double yesterday and wright didn't do much with his start in GS. As for the trade, I like the T-MAC/ Bibby side. Getting Bibby in the deal makes taking on the injury prone McGrady worth the risk in a 2 for 1.

I dropped Charlie V myself tonight. Dude is a headache. 9 minutes played, the Prince is getting all his minutes.

No way, especially since his team is already a good scoring team. While I haven't been much of a fan the last two years, Kidd has gone from way-overrated to way-underrated. I got him at #50 and so far he's ranking in the top 10 in most efficiency lists. It's easy to overlook his boards too. All trading for those bozos will do is slightly boost your 3PTM an tank your FG% significantly.

I remain wholly unimpressed by Matas and would be very upset not only if we trade up fo him, but if we even draft him at 11

Thanks for the advice guys - I opted not to do the trade. I'll just ride Kidd's early-season beasting and enjoy his anchoring of my PG position. I still need to figure out what to do with CV's bummy self though... if not Wright hopefully some promising shotblocker emerges in free agency soon.

If I were you I'd try to trade Zach and/or J-Ho for another PG to pair with kid. Something in the range of Andre Miller / Derrick Rose.
