Long article and some embedded video. Couple other related links on the page. Decent read. Didn't notice it bashing Atlanta in the article like most of the columns after he initially signed. The conclusion is that it could happen again with another higher profile player in the future.

Re: OTL: Josh Childress in Greece
Well, I understand moving on, but I don't begrudge Josh Childress for leaving for a lot more money. I actually was against Atlanta signing him because I didn't like the way Woodson always inverted the offense when he was on the floor. He did play hard for the Hawks for 4 years, so there is still a connection. I put his name in the subject as well, so you wouldn't have to click on it if you are so done with Childress.
The main reason I posted the story was I thought it was interesting that in my opinion it was written like a recruitment pitch to other NBA players to check out Europe. For instance, this is how ESPN is teasing the article:
Sure things are rosy now, but European deals are notoriously less than guaranteed if the owner becomes unhappy. I'm keeping an eye out on the situation to see if it turns.

Fans kiss his feet. Coaches are cool with 12.3 ppg. And, yeah, he's got that big, fat contract. So far so good for Josh Childress in Greece.

Re: OTL: Josh Childress in Greece
I change my opinion every day on Josh Childress. First I hated him for not being Luol Deng, then I started to appreciate all the little things he did for us. First, I thought he was a genius for cashing in and giving our tightwad owners the middle fingers, then I thought he was a coward for leaving the NBA because he wasn't good enough to make the money he wanted. Literally every day I change my mind. Today, I feel like he's a p-ssy who couldn't hack it in the league (mainly because I'm bitter about the whole situation).

I didn't like Childress' game and I'm glad he's gone. I think we are better off without him.
But i don't have any bad feelings about him personally. I actually think he made a smart and gutsy move by going to Greece. He is making more money and getting treated like royalty while playing in fewer games. Remember that Childress has a history of foot problems.
I don't blame him, his agent or Sund. I think everyone did the right thing.

You can still blame BK. Childress would have had significant trade value at the deadline last year. They lost that asset for nothing.

True they could have traded him but i am trying my best to banish thoughts of BK from my mind. Beating the CP led Hornets was a nice step in that direction.

I liken that to trying to forget years of being molested by some horrible uncle. It gets easier each passing day, but it will never truly be ok.

Yeah it is tough. If he just hadn't blown 1 of the 3 high picks from 04-06 our team would be so much stronger. And the offseason of "06 has to be one of the worst ever considering how much Bk had to work with.
