What attitude are you referring to?

There are definitely some good people there, but overall the board culture is very uptight and argumentative, especially the moderators. There's also a clique-y nature to things, where certain posters are ostracized and singled out for disagreeing with the majority. I remember when I used to go there certain posters just being hammered on time and time again for their personal opinions. There are people who keep track of everything posted and try to call each other out on tiny details or for once rooting for a player on the team who didn't work out.

Agreed, especially about the moderators, though some of them seem like really nice, cool, reasonable people. Others, not so much. And the whole Tommy Point system has posters sucking up to everyone, especially the moderators, and that makes me want to vomit.

Still like the site though, and regularly check on it, I just talk about the current events over here.

Awesome point. Here's a TP

"Thanks for the TP man here's one back atcha"

LAME!!!!

The Tommy Point thing is ridiculous and I was around when you could take one away which brought all the cry babies out.

Agreed also on the Mod thing. There's some really cool ones....but then there's one in particular that likes to leave his "scent" on every thread. He loves to make the same point and will beat you up for any opinion you have if he doesn't agree....and if he does agree he'll still play devils advocate and say "what if." He's a smart poster and makes a lot of good points but ....well I guess there's some people who doesn't think their ^^^^ stinks...

Yeah I think we're on the same page, especially about that 1 moderator. If we're not disagreeing about something, he's protecting some dumb shmuck, who want's to trade ray allen for Peja and a first rounder, or something of that nature.

Also we can have election threads here, but politics is Off-limits on Celticsblog. You even might occasionally see a woman in a bikini on RealGM, on celticsblog, that type of thing will get you banned. :D

I rarely went there. I used to look at the guy jeff's updated blog, when we were rumored to make trades. Oh and I registered for their graphic board. But thats it.

I go to both - but one of the mods over there is really full of himself. The RealGM mods seem pretty good right now..

I visit both too. They have slightly different feels, and the look and layout is definitely different, but both sites have good content and insightful posters.

As to mods, I think they're fine on both. The modding is much improved around here now that the one that used to get into all the asinine beefs with everyone has moved on.

Me either. I used to post over there a lot. Then I got banned from the chat room for saying the word damn. Where the moderator told me not use the lords name in vein. That was pretty much it for me. I check the main page on occasion. But, Thats about it.

i used to check celticsblog almost every day for the links, but cant get into the new format. im not sure if they even do the links anymore.

i like jeff, but cant say i can really pick out anyone else there except roy hobbs who i remember being something of an instigator on here at one point, especially around the KG trade

ive been here a long time, i had an account before this that got closed 'cuz i was inactive for a while (BleedGreen34), and i love it.

I've actually been more over on celticsblog and enjoying it more--up until the big conglomeration. Now I guess I have two usernames and passwords? Don't like the format at all. And after rooting for Jeff and his good work for years, now I feel as if I was sold out somehow, so I'm back here more often. Wish there were still more posting here on realGM, though early season with a winner may not really get people's juices going.

I like both forums pretty equally.

As a site though, I'd pick CelticsBlog because I don't really care about teams not named the Boston Celtics. Celticsblog is my homepage.

Either way both site forums have been pretty dead lately.

not tthat you cant like both equally, thats obviously cool, but csblog is just as incorporated with other teams now as realgm, lol

the links just havent been the same and that was my primary reason for visiting, cant say i have a problem with the new format, and ive never thought about joining up over there

Man, I can't take the ads on CB now. It's those BS ones that pop out over the page and start playing some stupid video. Plus, the new format is too busy and I never re-registered for the forums after they last changed the format a long time ago.
