Gerald Wallace

Post#1 » by Preludepunk27 » Fri Nov 7, 2008 6:14 pm

Just wondering if anyone is remotely interested in him. If so, if there a deal that anyone would feel could realistically happen? I'm just honestly thinking we're gonna try to land a player this season with a good sized contract. Then next season we'd trade Vince for the biggist expiring we can get to get the cap space for 2010 back.

Just curious. I love Gerald. Don't really know how he'd fit into the team at this point or 2010. Just trying to make conversation.

I like GW, he can shot and takes anyone of the dribble.,. I don't think the Bobcats gonna trade him for just anyone..

I like Wallace, but much like with the proposed Josh Howard trade in another thread... I just want the Nets to step back take their lumps and rebuild.

I'm also not sure the Nets have what it takes to get Gerald Wallace, I think the Bobcats want to win now so the Nets' prospects aside from Lopez probably aren't that appealing to Charlotte.

I'm sure Brown would love Simmons since he "plays the right way" but that's really not enough justification for the Bobcats trading Wallace to the Nets.

Only thing every team has going for them is that MJ is calls a ton of the shots in that organization. I live in NC. I read about how bad the front office is structured on a regular basis. I can totally see him doing something dumb like "Eddie Curry and Jared Jeffries for Gerald/Morrison"

If you believe the wire tap article about Curry, if the Knicks don't take a Curry for Wallace swap Walsh is truly insane. I saw the 2010 salary cap reason cited, yet Curry has a player option for 2011 for 11 mill and change and he would be absolutley insane to turn that down. Even if he was pressured to turn down the option, unless they literally hung him off a bridge by his fingers or threatened to cut off his supply of Crispy Cremes there is no way he turns it down.

Even worse case scenario, Crash is ultimatley much easier to trade for an expiring in the future.

Walsh must be drinking that brown water.

like G-Wall but, i think i will pass, not that superstar we need, dont get me wrong hes a good player, but with all the concusions, i will pass, and rebuild from the ground up, like at the trailblazers, the trailblazers, should be our blueprint for rebuilding, until LeBron or Wade, etc come...
