How does Josh Boone start in this league?

Lopez needs to start. And Yi needs to start cutting to the basket after setting picks.

Brook Lopez is making Kwame Brown look like Brook Lopez.

Keyon Dooling is under the impression A.I. has been traded to the Nets, and that he in fact, is Allen Iverson.

Frank is not allowing Lopez to make any mistakes, as he has pulled him for Boone.

I must reiterate Opie put Ager in during the 1st quarter.

Welcome to the Bobby Simmons Era.

Najera was the 1st "big" off the bench.

Tayshaun Prince was once in the undeniable hit, "Hood of Horror".

Spanarkle just called a Yi drive "Project Runway".

Maurice Ager played during the 1st quarter.

I really, really need to know where the Nets are getting their piff from.

This is scary, this game went exactly how I called it, if you replaced the word Pistons with the word Nets and vice versa.

By putting up 18 / 14 against the Pistons for example.

not bad...not bad.

but i still feel lopez should start. That way if he struggles, then Boone can come in. If Boone stuggles, then Lopez comes in and you don't know what your gonna get.

Lopez wasn't all that great today and Boone played great . I guess the one that plays better gets the majority of the minutes.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Im just shaking in my pants.
Honestly this game could not have gone any better, I had to put up with the god awful, completley biased Detroit announcing but boy was it worth it.

Isnt it funny that the game that was supposed to be about Iverson just got a complete 180 and turned into the Devin Harris show?
This team today showed something last year's team didnt and that was heart, they were down by 14 you didnt see a single player giving up or waiving his arms in the air, Devin was droped hard to the floor and we saw him getting up like 10 seconds later.
JB,Vince and Yi (imagine how good his stats would have been if it wasnt for all those damn fouls) all had excellent games as well but nothing will compare to Devin's big night.
All in all by far the best showing this team has put up in a long long time, really now I cant be happier going to bed right now, its 5 in the morning here LOL.
WE BEAT THE PISTONS!!!!

I like how this team is willing to scrap on defense. There are still a few too many lapses out on the perimeter (mostly in regards to closing out hard), but when someone pushes this Nets team they'll push back, and that's something you can hang your hat on as a fan.

nice comeback tongiht, the zone seemed to be very effective, although most of it was dodging bullets when detroit missed their open jumpers...

my question though, is this win indicative of the young nets decent potential? or more of the pistons trying to adapt to AI?

right when I was getting irritated by Boone's soft play, he comes up huge. Had his pick & roll game w/ VC working beautifully and was finishing strong. Boone once again makes me look wrong - also Lopez was as rookies are apt to do completely loss today. That one play where he was backing up his man right into help defense for the predictable turnover drove me crazy.

How scary was that Nets lineup late in the 3rd (can't recall now...nice memory...) without Devin / VC or Yi. That lineup would struggle to score 50pts a game in the NBA. I was just watching the clock hoping they can make Pistons miss some shots.

Najera's shot was off but he seemed to drive the ball decently - had some dumb fouls but he does bring a tangible defensive intensity on the court.

Yi was super solid on the glass today & if it wasn't for his foul problems he could have a really big night. His reach in foul after missing the midrange jumper was pretty silly though esp. considering he was already in foul trouble.

Devin - brilliant. The thing is he can do this (well not to this level) all the time. He showed his elite level speed today, even forced a fast break a few times, was aggressive on the top of the key screens, just everything I thought were his strengths he was doing. The team NEEDS this on a consistent basis.

Maxiell seems lost in this new Pistons scheme. He completely destroyed Boone & the Nets last year but was barely noticeable this year - none of that crazy energy from last year's game (thank goodness)

Happy to see Wallace settle against us (6 of his 9 fg attempts were 3). He gets the best Tech's though. I enjoy watching the guy on D & went he goes ballistic.

Even Ager got some burn.

Still mad at the Warriors game...Indiana - Ford / Harris - speed vs speed. Great wins Nets.

When Boone has 1-2 good plays and his confidence is growing he really plays nice . Sadly he's so fast down on himself if he makes a mistake and then starts playing badly.

I don't care what anyone thinks, I would still take Sheed on this team with open arms.
