Yeah, i thought he looked pretty good for the spurs going into the season, then obviously he didn't end up on their roster. Just wondering, but what makes you think that we'd be pursuing a 2 for 1 trade?

I was a bit surprised that he didn't stick in San Antonio. The Sonics obviously need an outside shooter, so we'll see.
As for potential trades, what do you guys see? The NY Post is saying that Earl wants out. They mentioned New Orleans as a team needing a back up, but I can't think of a shooter on that squad. Hilton Armstrong perhaps, as he may be able to give us some solid play on the glass, but we'd certainly have to take on a second contract to make that work with Earl's. The other team in need of depth at the point is Orlando, and I guess we'd look to grab Redick. I just don't think he's an NBA quality player, though.
Those are my initial thoughts. As for the off season, what about Linus Kleinza (or however you spell his name)? Great outside shooter, runs the break, and could come off the bench with some scoring punch.

Mo-pete is a shooter on New Orleans with around the same contract as Watson, although I think they're pretty happy with him right now...

Yeah, I can't see them giving him up for Watson alone.

He's not a bust. You can't tell if someone is a failure or not after one freaking season in the league. Was he disappointing? Of course and he'll probably be a servicable overpaid starter in his prime.

I loved him in college. I've seen a couple of games where he's gotten decent minutes. I feel like he's still playing with the mentality that he's the star of a Gonzaga team, while not being any better than most of the competition. Hopefully he gets it together and finds his niche in the NBA.

Ammo as he's called, would be a useful contributor on offense when he gets going. The guy was a star in college, but being in the pros is a different animal. From what I see in the stats, the team needs another good scorer to keep the opponent defenses friendly and upgrade some scoring from the bench standpoint.

I think that Westbrook can be our scorer off of the bench if Watson stays in his role as the starter... We just need some solid jump-shooter(s) for them to pass to.
We do, however, definitely need another solid scoring option in the starting lineup. The way Durant is playing right now (with the exception of some of the Pacers game), he's better suited as the 2nd option. Now, I know that long-term he should get it going and be option number 1.
