I know their were better guys at eating space, and taking double teams, but was any DT as disruptive, and as good a penetrator as Sapp? I find it hard to believe, the guy was a monster.

Even though I thoroughly dislike the man, Joe Klecko's name warrants mentioning here.

I think TSN actually got the top 3 right on with Lilly, Mean Joe Greene, and Merlin Olsen.
Randy White and Warren Sapp would be next on my list. I always found Page and Hampton to be overrated and beneficiaries of playing under defensive masterminds with great talent around them. I think Alex Karras was every bit as good as either of those guys but the NFL folks always kick him for his gambling suspension.
Cortez Kennedy, Jerry Ball, and Pat Williams are all the same basic player to me, though Kennedy was a better athlete and an impact player for a longer time.
And where is the love for my man Michael Dean Perry!?! 6 Pro Bowls that he played in and he missed 3 others due to injury. That's 9 Pro Bowls in a 10-year career, plus 5 All Pro teams and 1 DPOY. He's the guy the Texans are praying Mario Williams becomes, an oversized DE with enough power to move inside but enough speed to destroy guards and split double teams and make plays in the backfield.
