I kinda like Hassel in the game better than Simmons right now, i don't like the idea of using SWill as the center because he's obviously small and thin there and the guy has no offense. At least put Anderson in the PF to boost the offense, i bet he can play with these guys, they're not that big.

It's amusing watching Dooling at the point, this guy couldn't run a poker game, let alone the offense.

Trent just dribbled more than twice in a sequence about the 4th time in this game.....

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little....

espically with those glasses YUCK...

I don't want Simmons or Hassel in, period.

I know SImmons basically has to play because he makes 10 mill more a year then he should running youth basketball camps, but how bout limiting the damage he can do to 14 1st half minutes and maybe 6 2nd half minutes per game.

I don't expect this team to be world beaters this year, but it is actually infuriating to watch them when Opie won't even put them in a position to win.

I wish I knew his address, I would throw poo at his house every night.

Dooling is HORRIBLE... what the hell happened to him? He used to kill us when we use to play against him and now the way he plays is like he's just backing up Marcus Williams. I mean, this guy doesn't see anything, he can shoot, i give him that, but he cant even make simple passes. Boone was always open in the middle of the floor especially during fastbreaks and yet this guy Dooling pulls up the ball and just kills the flow of the game.

OPIE SUX!!!!

This **** is painful to watch... the Pacers are already terrible but they still managed to lead 17 points 4 minutes in the 4th quarter. Carter is playing like it's just practice.

Man... the Knicks are a lot better than us...

I kind of expected this outcome, having Keyon Dooling as our only PG all..

I Hope Devin's available on monday because if not we'll probably lose much worse than tonight...

well once I heard Harris was out I pretty much conceded this would be a loss.

Dooling had a nice stat line but he's probably my least favourite Nets player right now. He's looking first and second for his shot & is slow to initiate offense if it's not his # being called. I guess he's here to be the sparkplug off the bench, but I wish we had a true backup PG and then Dooling can spell VC & just look to score at the 2 spot.

Yi - an earlier post I mentioned running plays for him in the low post where he can face up (ala Bosh) but I see they try this but he just gets pushed to far out - he looks wiry strong but I guess he still needs to get stronger...

Najera - hasn't looked good w/ his shot but I give him some leeway since he's just coming back

Frontcourt was a disaster today - well actually everyone but VC was a disaster today...

which leads me to Frank...our Frontcourt was pathetic today but he still didn't give burn to SWat or Anderson until the game was pretty much out of hand & I couldn't understand what he was calling the first 3 or 4 plays coming out of halftime...the Pacers were starting to pull away and VC didn't even touch the ball while Dooling played I don't know what with the offense..don't get that at all.

Boone showed a short jumper today....and then a short (really short) free throw.

one other thing to mention...Devin & VC are the only guys on this team that can consistently carry the offense and when neither of them are on the floor the team is just a disaster , so clearly Devin/VC must carry the offense but then Frank has the no paint rule which forces the Nets backcourt to expend alot of energy on D too. Today with Devin gone and VC shouldering the offense he was really straggling on fighting over screens and rotating back to the perimeter, he just looked bad on D on more than one occasion but is it fair to implement an offense AND defense that relies so greatly on your backcourt...puts a lot of burden & potential injury risks to the two best players on this team & we can see that's it not working....teams are getting great looks every game from the perimeter. Nets have a big frontcourt, let's see what they can do and not put so much pressure on Devin/VC to carry both ends of the court - it's just asking for injury or fatigue as the season progresses. Just wasn't happy w/ Frank today esp. the 2nd half of the game.

All that being said, just remember that Devin was out & this team without BOTH Devin / VC are just not good enough at this time (esp. on offense) to win many games.

once again Frank displayed his attrocity as a coach, not willing to play rookies, allow mistakes, manage a good game, run a good offense, get the team to play defence, is there anything else, c,mon hand the guy the pink slip already...

Sadly, with the low expectations that this team has this year being in a rebuilding process Opie is not going to get fired unless he disobeys some type of direct orders.

Once again, I was not, am not, expecting this team to be that good this season, but it just so frustrating to see them in a position to beat an inferior team like the Pacers, up 2 at the half, and then have Opie take away any hope by doing things such as having a lineup of Dooling, Hayes, Simmons, Hassel and Boone on the floor for extended minutes. That lineup would get beat by ten by a solid NBDL team, no exageration.
Also the atroscious play calling, such as like you said, the 1st 4 minutes or so of the 3rd when no plays or even touches were run for VC is just unacceptable.
if we lose, we lose, but it is unfair to us, the fans, to not even give our team the actual chance to win, especially winnable games, and at the same time to put an unentertaining, YMCA pick up game quality lineup on the floor when there are solid rookies and even other vets rotting away on the bench.
Situations such as last night just cannot sit well with VC, let alond Sean Williams.
Management probably doesn't care, because with attendance where it is, they are more than likely hoping we lose a lot of games to get the best possible lotto pick, maybe even secretly hoping VC gets fed and publicly asks for a trade so if no decent deals surface, they can trade him for basically nothing without looking like the bad guys.
It's underhanded towards the players and even the fans.
We demand better.
If Opie is trying to alienate his lockerroom and himself even further from the "fanbase", he is succeeding early.

Baa.

I wouldn't really consider the Pacers an inferior team than the Nets, they're actually probably better than the Nets right now, and if they had Mike Dunleavy, this wouldn't even be an argument.

I dont know how to express how much I cant stand Frank.

There is no excuse to this BS. Frank is a stubborn bad coach. Atleast D'Antoni is stubborn but he is a good coach.

This game is very simple.

Play #1 - Post up Lopez/VC/Yi. Force the Opposing team to Double team. Then pass the ball out to Harris, VC, Simmons, Hayes, Dooling, Anderson, and CDR, all pretty good outside shooters.

Play #2 - VC/Harris/Dooling penetrate kick out to Simmons, Yi, Lopez, Anderson, Hayes, even F'en Hassel for an jump shot.

Play #3 - Harris/VC/Dooling at the top/sidelines/anywhere Yi/boone/Lopez/SWAT/Najera/Anderson Pick and Roll OR Simmons/Hayes/Anderson/Yi Pick and Pop.

Play #4-10 - Repeal the above 3 plays.
