Not terrible but i think we are all satisfied with delonte, and i dont think mccants would be as good all around even if he is a better scorer.

Why so opposed to Rashad McCants? He is younger than Delonte West, a +40% shooter, and would be a great complement for Lebron James. James is frequently double teamed because he’s a stat sheet stuffer. It just seems that a player like Rashad McCants who can shoot above 40% would be the perfect fit because double teaming James would not be as effective. As a result, the defense will be more spread apart giving James giving more room to operate.

Simple, Delonte has better ppg, apg, rpg, same bpg, and less to per game AND

Delonte West-
FG%= 54.3%
3P%= 54.5%

McCants-
FG%= 42.5%
3P%= 22.2%

AND Delonte is a better Defender.

your basing this on 3 games versus the 82 games played last year. Plus, Wittman recently pulled Foye as the starting PG because he was inconsistent and this year (I think it was because he's a shoot first guard) they don't even play the same minutes since the Timberwolves are loaded with guards (only one real point guard) and guard/forwards such as Foye, Telfair, Ollie, Carney, Brewer, Miller, and of course McCants so minutes are limited. It's better to compare last year when they had roughly the same amount of minutes instead of now where he isn't compatible with Foye.

I'd rather have DWest, he is the better overall player. And McCants is also undersized, probably no bigger than West. I think he is listed at 6'3-6'4....

The problem with that is that delonte was stuck in a log jam and then was traded.. so it was hard for him (i imagine) to figure out his role with any team.. he knows his role for cleveland and has fit in perfectly. Besides that, players do different amounts of work over the summer which makes improvement different for each player, thus delonte could have improved more than mccants. Mccants doesn't fit the role that we need and since delonte is a better player overall.. it's a bad trade for us.
