With all of the Rookie hype in the air, I'd like to note that several sophomores are playing terrific ball. So you may want to hold off on that Rookie-Sophomore game prediction

Ramon Sessions: With Ridnour injured, Sessions has stepped up big time. After turning heads last year by dishing out 24 (!!!) assists in one game, he's picked up where he left off, averaging 17 points and 7 assists a game, and even has improved his defense so far. The Bucks are a threat to make the playoffs this year and Sessions will be a part of it. Not bad for a second rounder.

Thaddeus Young: Can you say breakout season? Forget the all-Sophomore team, he's looked like an All-Star so far. Already an elite athletic specimen, Young has added more range to his jumpshot and has tightened his ball-handling, allowing him to move back to his natural SF position. Averaging 17 points and 4 rebounds a game.

Spencer Hawes: With Brad Miller suspended, Hawes has stepped in admirably. He's one of the most versatile offensive bigs in the league. He is leading the NBA in 3 point % (!!!), passes well, can post up smaller bigs, and is more athletic than people give him credit for. He's putting up 13 points and 8 rebounds a game, and the Kings' offense collapses without him.

Aaron Brooks has played well so far. 8.8 PPG and 2 RPG on 41 shooting and 42 from behind the arc. But I doubt he goes to the rookie/sophmore game.

Dang, Nick Young and Wilson Chandler are killing it statistically. Thornton and Jeff Green may have to be booted of the Soph all stars to make room. I haven't watched either of them play yet, so I'll be sure to do that soon.

Well his rebounding numbers and defense is pretty solid but he's not featured enough offensively.

He needs to get the ball more on the low block, especially with no Josh Smith.

The only player on your list who has impressed me thus far is Thornton. He's stepped up big time. Sessions is putting up solid numbers on a bad team, and Ridnour is still the starter on that team, for now, at least. As good as Durant is, he picked up right where he left off last season: scoring a lot of points on a bad FG%. Hawes has looked good, but Brad Miller is going to change his production. And Young is benefiting from Iguodala having a horrid start to this season. 10 ppg so far? Ridiculous. Stuckey isn't living up to the expectations the Pistons' brass has set for him, and it might get tougher with Iverson in town, playing 40+ mpg.

Daequan Cook has been playing pretty well. He's been the best player off the Heat's bench and has put up a few impressive 4th quarters to help the Heat win. He is averaging 9ppg and 3rpg.
