I doubt Joe is done, maybe he's done for now, but he'll prolly end up giving in to the post-retirement temptations and come back, he's already faltering, he was saying how this was gonna be his last fight but in the last few days before the fight he softened his position on that, but maybe he was just saying it was his last all along to help sales.

He deflected the Dawson suggestion pretty well, Calzaghe. "There's always going to be young guys coming up..."

I didn't see Dawson beat Tarver but I saw him face Johnson and I thought he did well but IMO he lost that fight, Dawson is no doubt gonna be one the top boxers in upcoming years but I don't know if hes ready just yet, just like Pavlik wasn't ready for 'Nard.

He looked like a complete stud against Tarver - far better than he ever has.

Kellerman in his final thoughts made a case for Dawson being more than just the latest in an infinite line of young, hungry fighters - he's established and the last guy necessary for Joe to beat.

Roy should give Hopkins one last rumble and then retire. I knew he was through with when he could barely best Anthony Hanshaw some months ago, he's officially reached washed-up status. I knew Joe was gonna handle him.

I didn't pay for the Roy/Cazaghe or Pavlik/Hopkins fight and I would know better than to order a Hopkins/Roy fight.

Hopkins is a freak and Jones has never been the same after the Ruiz fight. I love both figthers but they should both hang it up and retire and be selected at the same time for the HOF

While its got bad potential, styles do make fights, and Roy matched up horribly with Joe, and that wouldn't nessesarly be the case with BHop, and being a huge Roy fan I'd have to order that, but its not looking like its gonna happen anytime in the next year, I doubt Roy does it without atleast a tune-up fight first.

So yeah, sounds like Roy isn't done just yet, rumors about him going back to heavyweight to face Holyfield, or of Taylor going up to face him, also rumors of a going away fight in his hometown on March 21st...

What do you all think?

I think he probably should retire...but Roy my favorite athlete, so I can't just say no...I'm not big on saying when any athlete should end his career to begin with.

With boxers and any other fighter, other people need to dictate when they end their career.

Jones is fighting Omar Shieka(27-8) on March 21st.

Hopefully its a going away match.

Yeah, as for others dictating retirement, thats up to the people around him, his family, friends, trainers, etc. IMO anyways

Most of the other fights for the night have been announced. http://www.doghouseboxing.com/Chee/Chee0206d09.htm
B.J. Flores, IBF No. 2 Cruiserweight, will be featured on the card along with three MMA bouts, headlined by Seth Petruzelli, who most recently knocked out Kimbo Slice, against Doug Marshall; Roy Nelson will battle Jeff Monson; also featured will be Three-Time NCAA Wrestling Champion and Wrestlemania star Bob Lashley. “March Badness,” promoted by Square Ring Promotions, Inc. will take place at the Pensacola Civic Center and be broadcast live on pay-per-view.

Eee. Blech. Something makes me uneasy about mixing MMA and boxing. Nelson vs Monson is actually a legit fight, though sure to be boring.
