OT: 2K9 Is The Best Game I Have Ever Played!

I know this is a bold statement but the new game on ps3 is INSANE! I have played other 2K9's before but this game is revolutionary, it is better than Madden. ABOSOLUTLEY INCREDIABLE!

I just got Live '09 this week and I'm fairly disappointed

The whole DNA and updates thing is cool if you have live

but. . . . . In terms of actual game play it just doesn't do it for me

The 2kwhatever series seem sweet. . . .An old one for regular xbox(I think 2k5) was wicked nice. Easy to play and as far as I'm concerned pretty realistic. I feel like they concentrate on the fluff so much anymore that you, the consumer, loses in actual gameplay and on court realism. . . . or maybe I've just been outta the video game loop for too long to appreciate Live '09 haha

I read an article in the Hearald that said NBA Live was the better game but I cannot imagine any game being better than 2k9, its in 1080P for christ sake!

I dont buy games for online play I buy them for franchise mode. But that does suck for the people who play online.

are there any good games for the franchise mode on the pc? I used to play nba live and the dynasty mode was pretty cool. This was a few years ago so I wonder if it has gotten more realistic.

The only basketball game on PC is 2k9, runs for about $20. If you have a really good system it looks better than PS3/360.

I have it for my computer, it looks great with just a 256 mb graphics card. It has certain issues with the game play but all in all its the best sports game period.

Not surprised. The 2K series has been awesome since about 2k2...used to play that in college all the time.

Wish I had the time and money for a ps3 and 2k9

I have the demo, haven't yet made my way towards buying the game, but I must say its insane.

The movement is so realistic. The shooting, the crowd, etc...

Live, in the other hand is very unrealistic, and the crowds suck...

2k is the clear winner.

I've been an NBA Live gamer since it was released on PC. I don't own any consoles (Xbox, PS3) so I was pretty much stuck with the Live series. Live '08 was pretty disappointing for me, and I was hoping 2K8 would be released for the PC. Thanks goodness for 2K9. The best basketball game I've played on the PC bar none.

I just found out the other day that 2k9 was being released for the PC and thank friggin god because Live sucks my ass. Just got to get somewhere and get a copy...

I love 2k9, but their online servers are terrible. It's almost impossible to set up a private match because I can't get into the lobby to invite my friends to play. And when I try to play 5 on 5 team-up matches, the lag is just disgusting. I'm still holding out hope that they'll be able to fix it, because other than that, the game itself is fantastic.

It's probably written by an EA shareholder or NBA LIVE Producer who doesn't want to lose his job because that can't be farther from the truth. LIVE is sooo bad it's not even funny. I guess if you're a 6 years old (Please Use More Appropriate Word) with an IQ below 40 and want a game that plays like a game from the 1990s with no semblance of realism, I guess Live may be your game.

I love 2k9 but do you find that all sports games suck after a few months because you figure out how to beat the engine and then you can only play your friends?

I know they have "harder" settings but I always seem to figure them out and then the game begins to suck.
