I'll assume you missed the last 3 games, where Barnett hasn't made any sort of play on anything. Including blowing multiple 3rd down coverage plays.

People miss tackles. He was in position. If you aren't near plays, that is where I have a problem.

If your argument is "Barnett was crap, but he was better crap than the crap we have behind him," then I have to ask why we are paying this crap so much money.

Barnett has been a steady presence in our defense and has been one of the most underrated MLB's in the league. He's had a rough spell, but he was still contributing more than Hawk or Poppinga in terms of consistency. If you are gonna argue about Barnett's deal, why not argue Grant's who had half a season of production compared to Barnett's years of steady production. This injury is gonna hurt a lot more than people think. Barnett was the leader of this defense and I hate the idea of Bishop leading this team because of his inexperience.

Barnett has had a terrible season, he went on record a few weeks ago and said that teams were blocking him differently this year and that he needed to adjust. Why it would take him so long to come to this realization is beyond me but he DID NOT adjust as far as I can tell. I like Bishops toughness and his ability top actually hit someone and force a fumble but I guess I want to see what Hawk can do at the MLB spot because he is quickly becoming a bust on the outside.
