CLIPPERS trade Chris Kaman

Oh, man, my Bulls' offer of Gooden + Tyrus Thomas or Joakim Noah is 10 times better than that. And we would throw in Cedric Simmons or Thabo Sefalosha if needed. (That's with me as GM, of course, not John Paxson. ;-)).

Don't any Clippers fans read these boards?

cgf wrote:Just wondering but how well has camby been playing? I just could see a Lee/Curry for Camby trade end up going down and since Curry isn't playing and Lee has been surpassed by Ill Will this trade really is dependent on how well camby has looked. I think it makes sense for you guys as lee fits an up tempo offense at the 4 and would compliment Kaman very well and Curry would give you size and scoring prowess off the bench. if necessary I could envision this being expanded to include craw for mobley as well, although I'd imagine at that point walsh would ask for DeAndre Jordan, in which case we'd offer Malik Rose's expiring contract for Tim Thomas.

Oy. Horrible. Camby is more valuable than Curry right now, and Camby's contract expires before the 2010 season whereas Curry's lasts another year. So trading for Curry would hurt the Clippers' chances of getting one of the big 2010 free agents.

Come on, Clippers, take my offer! ;-)

The Clippers aren't interested in trading Kaman. It was a BS rumor.

High Level BS..... George W. Bush term level BS LMAO

We are trying to build chemistry not start over again. if the Clippers do any trade most likely it will be with the bench players (except rookies but including Mobley).

Trade proposal from another board

Post#65 » by Rockice_8 » Thu Nov 13, 2008 3:52 pm

Hey guys, I'm coming over from the Nets board and would like to propose a trade.
Here it is, it won't be able to happen until December 15 because of restrictions but let me know what you think u guys may change your when the time comes to see where you are in the standings.

Clips recieve:
Vince Carter
Jarvis Hayes
Sean Williams

Nets recieve:
Mobley
Tim Thomas
Al Thorton
protected 1st (optional) I think that we deserve it

Works out good for both teams. The problem is are you guys going to be in a position to make a run in the playoffs. If you are than VC could help you. He's accutally playin really well for us.
Appreciate your opinions.

a. We don't want Vince.
b. We aren't giving up Al Thornton unless we get a real superstar in return.

We really can't give up Thornton, I think that he has a lot of potential.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

What if it was Gordon instead of Thorton?

Clips give away the best player in the deal, a 1st rounder and over $15 million in 2010 cap space. That's pretty bad for LA.

Plus playoff dreams are starting to fade we might be in the lottery again if the team keeps up this effort.

Why would the Clippers do that? We get two SF type players and already have Al Thornton. Injury prone Sean May doesn't have much value. The Clippers are in a better position just keeping Mobley and Thomas.

I could see the Knicks being interested in Camby since he does not hurt their 2010 plans.

I would do this (the trade someone mentioned earlier): Stephon Marbury (expiring) and a 2nd round pick for Marcus Camby and Cuttino Mobley.

I would do this as well: Malik Rose (expiring), Mardy Collins, and a 2nd round pick for Marcus Camby.

What do you guys think of this?

I like the first one better. We could use Marbs.

But where are we going to get a starting PF from unless we play pretty small the rest of the season with Thorton at the 4.

Who do the Clippers consider to be their building blocks for the future?
