Actually they found out last year, he was misdiagnosed with ADHD and from what i read his illness bothered him all throughout his life. I think that's the reason he was really good last year because that's such a big confidence booster finding out you dont have a mental disability. The great thing about this is that when he was actually getting drafted this was his main weakness that he had a low IQ. These just makes it more intriging acquiring him.

Well of course i won't convince most of the people i just want to see if i can make them look at it in another perspective

My friends and I have made up an entire life for him where we think he HATES playing basketball but he knows nothing else so he just keeps playing and hates life. What a badass.

he actually has pyschological issues...actual mental disorders, and from what I remember reading, SI?, he was on medication for them or it...but I dont think thats why he makes faces or that he hates basketball... :D

I actually know he was under emotional distress last year. His wife had a miscarriage with twins pretty late in the pregnancy. It was Z and his wife's first kids. I felt horrible for him. I live with a Cav's fan and we got league pass, the 2 weeks after that happened, Z just looked lost. I know a few friends who've had miscarriages, that takes a while to get over.

EDITORS NOTE: We've been making up "z's life" for years by the way. Much like I want to make a reality show of Zoran Planinic, Curly and Scalabrine living together in a studio apartment in NYC. There are obviously things my friends consider off limits with Z, so i'm hoping nobody takes some of my earlier comments the wrong way and castrates me.

Plus, in that year, He played with Brand that year which Brand Average 24.7 ppg and 10 rpg. BTW the Fact that he can average that much with a player that scores besically 25 and 10 means him averaging 15 and 13 last year was no fluke. You are comparing him to Josh Boone which he average 8.3 ppg and 7.8 rpg when he is the only legit big we had that year when he should average more. Basically, what i'm saying is your obviously underating Kaman by ALOT. Plus, Boone is a powerfoward and Kaman is a Legit Center. They are totally different on the way they play.

Couldn't it have been possible that a lot of the defensive pressure was taken off Kaman and thrown on Brand, which could be the reason for those numbers? Boone is barely a 3rd year player, but his contract as of now is much better than Kaman's.

That is probably the worst comparison I've ever seen. You really think Brook will have a high value 3 years when he did not prove anything from now that we can trade him for a legit talent that's proven? I'm not big on Kaman I actually barely seen him play. I'm just not biased like half of the people here that are prejiduce on whatever you think of him. I just see his basketball skills and talent nothing else. Please don't even response to this because your just making yourself look like a fool and showing your ignorance to other people that read this.....

Check out Kaman's first 6 games as a rookie. What in those six games showed he was going to be a legit C? Hell, check out his and Dirk's first season in the league. What told you they were going to be offensive forces? Again...IT'S ABSOLUTELY TOO EARLY TO EVEN THINK ABOUT TRADING BROOK LOPEZ. IT'S BEEN SIX (6) GAMES.

I 100% agree with you that Lopez can be a better center piece but the fact that we dont have an identity in this team and the fact that we are building around Harris and Yi means we need to build around them the perfect player around them that will perfectly compliment them to have an identity which leads to winning games and the championship.

Sending available cap space, big contracts, and/or young talent for a player that doesn't put us anywhere doesn't help us now or in the future.

I think Boone is a good player he is a good player to compliment centers for his style of doing all the dirty work but, he is not a player that should be starting at the center position he doesn't have enough weight, height and power to guard against big centers. If he plays center he it should only be temporary.

Agreed.

If your talking about players that are physical inside players that are athletic I 100% agree with you. I dont think Kaman is soft at all he is pretty phsysical that can score inside.

All I see from Kaman at his absolute peak is a level below Ilgauskus's all-star year.

That is a true statement but, how about last year when he average 15 and 12 without Brand. You can always make excuses for a player to be underatted but the fact is he has done it in both situation when he is the one being the main guy and be double team and the one to be the second option Both Situation he produced.

I'm not looking at brook's first 6 games. I'm looking at his talent's and what is his potential going to be. And the only thing i see Brook's future is a Less athletic Brendan Haywood that can score with both hands. You don't look at rookies's stats you look at there potential what they can be in the future. Dirk had so much Potential that's the reason why he is soo good. Why do you think Brook fell all the way to tenth in the draft when he was prospected to be third because they know he doesn't have a superstar potential with him. At Max I only see Brook as producing 14 ppg 8 rpg.

Why don't you think he would put us anywhere? What do you think the Nets need? Aren't we building around Yi and Harris? Alright Lets break Both players down. Devin Harris is a super quick pointguard, great vision on the open floor, great slasher. Yi super athletic powerfoward, great shooting touch, descent ballhandling skills needs to get stronger to able to have back to basket moves. Ok now tell me what is missing from both players and what do you think both players need to able to improve there game? Rebounder? Consistent Inside scorer? An atheltic player who can run the floor with them? Good Defender? Isn't kaman pretty athletic that runs the floor well? Isn't he a pretty good inside scorer, Isn't he an extremely good rebounder? Here some link to prove my point:

After that all we need of a player is a playmaker and that's the play who will come in 2010

They play totally different and if your talking about statistics wise Kaman is still better so i really don't know what your saying in this one.

So you'll give up future pieces that still have chances of being stars for a guy that will never be more than a role player?

Dirk received much criticism after his first year when everyone called him nothing but a European project bust. JO was traded for nothing more, but a Dale Davis. Gilbert Arenas was a benchwarmer before he became noticed. So you think Brook's potential doesn't look great? Take a look at those guys before the league took notice. You can't possibly tell me that just by looking at Brook's current repertoire that he's going to be a bust. Because he was projected to go third and other teams passed on him? That's incredibly foolish reasoning. Are you telling me that every team that passed on Brook Lopez made the smart move? You can't give me that answer because you don't know the definite answer. You talk as if great players are found only if they were drafted where they were supposed to be.

What am I looking for? Tell me what in Brook's repertoire do you see that can't be improved...I mean can never be improved.

Why don't you think he would put us anywhere? What do you think the Nets need? Aren't we building around Yi and Harris? Alright Lets break Both players down. You need to realize this...for the time being, Brook Lopez is part of this team's future. You could label this guy untouchable for this season and possibly next season whether you like it or not. We are rebuilding around him, Yi, and Harris.

And you do realize to sign that big free agent in 2010 (really 2011), we need Carter's contract to expire or off the books? You give Carter and/or young talent for Kaman, we have a core of Harris, Yi, and Kaman. Is that honestly the future you want?

And let's be honest...the target is LeBron. This is why Jay-Z is allowed to buy shares of the Nets. You have a guy who, behind the watchful eye of the NBA, can entice and influence LeBron's decision as a friend to let him come over. This of course is the best case scenario, but nevertheless, he's the target.

They play totally different and if your talking about statistics wise Kaman is still better so i really don't know what your saying in this one.

Production-wise and role on team.

I like Kaman, but not enough to give up Brook and cap space to get him.
BTW, he is crazy injury prone.

Anybody see that stupid nickname poll for Brook the other night?

What horrible choices.

The madness needs to stop.

We need to come up with a nickname for this guy, and quick, before some idiot forces one on the broadcasters.

How bout Twin?
