Re: The Free DeAndre Jordan campaign
I'm all for it. He runs the floor well, he's athletic, and hopefully he would help our defense in the paint. Our defense last night just made me sick, that's the worst D I've seen us play in awhile.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

It might help the guy can at least bring energy on the floor. The starting 5 had no energy what so ever none of them cared and it really P.O.ed me off. It wasn't Clippers overestimating the Kings how could they the Kings were a better team record wise than the Clippers.

Re: The Free DeAndre Jordan campaign
Didn't Dunleavy mention that he was super-raw and still learning how to play in the NBA? These articles have probably all been reviewed, but he doesn't sound like a guy ready to start off with significant minutes of any kind-

The article mentions he's a YouTube dunk favorite...does that make him the Kimbo Slice of basketball?
Would love to see him more though, just because why not?

DeAndre Jordan doesn't look like he knows how to play pro basketball. He has no offensive game at all other than dunks. I can understand the free Gordon campaign but this campaign isn't really justifiable. The best thing Dunleavy can do is send him to the D-league to get experience.

Re: The Free DeAndre Jordan campaign
I love it when DJ has a monster putback, alley-oop or even a strong rejection, but I don't think that he could effectively enhance this team's chances of winning at this point. Whenever the D-League season starts, I hope Dunleavy finally wises up and uses that option. That could help build up his confidence, in-game experience and allow him to grow and develop. He says he's hungry and ready and willing to put in the necessary work to be a successful NBA player. Let him prove it to not only the team, but to himself. Then reward him when he does well.

Free BD, DJ, EJ, S.Novak.....free the whole Clippers squad. Why does the GM call every play? The GM needs to take a seat on the bench and just let the players ball.

Its not like the Clippers are winning an NBA championship anytime soon, the home attendance will continue to draw crowds no matter what since LA is a very large metropolitan area that is tourist friendly. So why not give the kid a crash course just like how the Lakers did to Andrew Bynum there is really njothing to lose from playing and giving Deandre Jordan sporadic minutes on the floor to see how he handles competition @ the NBA level.

D League seems like the best choice. But I think we're just thinking 5-8 minutes a game, just to get out there and get on the floor, ya know?
The crowd will probably like it too. It's a minor factor perhaps, but it's good for the players too when the crowd gets energized.

Agreed. The crowd energy is non-existent this season, it's really sad. I remember back in the Barry/Vaught/Pooh/Outlaw/Dehere era, the Sports Arena was rockin even though there wasn't too many people. The Clips played hard night in and night out and were very competitive, I think that's what people appreciated about them.
As of right now, I'm not so sure this current squad could beat the '96-'97 Clips.

I say we at least "free" him to the Dleague. This guy is just sitting on the bench. Let's not handle him the same way they did with Korolev.

Whether it be the NBA or D League, DeAndre needs to get some kind of minutes.

Pass on sending him to the D-League for now. I'd much rather him get to work with our coaching staff every day and practice against Kaman, Camby, Davis, etc...

Yeah, because we know how that worked wonders for Korolev.

Re: The Free DeAndre Jordan campaign
When are people going to realize that Korolev didn't have what it took mentally or physically to play in the NBA when we selected him? If Jordan is truly willing to work like he says he is and has the mental toughness to play in the league his best chance to develop is to work with our staff and big men. He can learn a lot more from Kaman, Camby, and our staff than he can from playing in the D-League.
If they want to send him down later in the season to get an idea of how he is progressing and let him get a little time that is ok. But he is new to the team and I would rather him get a hands on treatment from our organization first. If he can't survive that for a couple months without getting completely disheartened and busting he wasn't going to make it anyway.
