Our defense was pretty pathetic in the first half. We allowed too many open layups.. Great change in the second half though. Melo didn't score as much as I would expect. LeBron played great defense on him. But damn, knowing how the Nuggets play defense makes us look like one of the best offensive teams in the league. How did Big Ben even manage to score 11 points? That is a tragedy if you ask me.

Gave up 61 points in the first half, only 38 in the second half. Mo said the Cavs watched the horror defensive movie at half. It must have worked. For all the crap we give Mike Brown, he's a great defensive coach. About time we give him some due on it too.

I think Mike Brown is a terrific coach for the team this year, and wouldnt be suprised to see him win coach of the year honors.

How was MoWill?
His numbers look nice, but his +/-, while not a horrible =, are worst among starters (west+15, lebron +14), only Hickson was in negative.

Well, as crazy as it sounds, we ARE one the best offensive teams in the league so far this year.

Great win:

* Lebron moving w/o the ball
* Andy playing like the old days
* Defense holding Denver under 100
* 6 in a row
* Mike Brown w/ the go tee looking a lot less like Mr. Potatoe-head

Its all good

What a strange thing to say. The Cavs are among the league leaders in offense. While it still shouldn't be something that we do on a regular basis, we can get into a scoring contest and hang with other teams . We really couldn't do that last year.

Mo played well IMO. He was probably the most important player at the end of the game.

Congrats on the win, gents. I have to say that I think Denver completely fell apart in the second half, with nothing resembling a gameplan, and kudos to Cleveland for going right for the throat. It's hard to envision a winning scenario that encompasses 15 straight layups off the dribble for Daniel Gibson. That was pitiful. And Ben Wallace scoring 11... good God. I've long maintained that Ben Wallace was the worst thing to ever happen to the NBA, but perhaps the Nuggets are.

I think the meeting at Denver will hopefully go differently. Maybe the first half Nuggets will stick around for a little longer. Good luck until then, guys.

All about the second half defense. If we play like that we can beat anyone.

Another shout out for my boy Pavs. JR Smith was absolutely lighting Boobie up and in comes Pavs and JR doesnt score another point on him. In fact, no one that Sasha was guarding last night scored a single point. Also, Sasha touched the ball only twice on offense last night (looked like Wally was trying to freeze him out to me). The first time he drove and set up AV for an easy basket and got an assist and the second time he quickly swung the ball to LeBron in the post who dribbled a few times and then got fouled.
