OT: Bucs Fans Thread-Antonio Bryant Appreciation

Post#1 » by UCFknight84 » Wed Nov 12, 2008 8:57 am

Is anyone as happy as I am about Antonio Bryant?

This guy has been the savior of our season. He has 45 catches for 566 yards so far. The OT wins in Kansas City and Chicago he has a combined 18 catches for 253 yards! I love how cheap we got him, only a 600,000 dollar contract the minimum lol. Compared to Dante Stallworth 35 million salary and only 10 catch for 104 yards and Javon Walkers 55 million dollar contract with 15 catches and 196 yards.

This is turning out to be the best offseason addition in franchise history. Without him our recieving corps would blow, especially because Galloway has been out all season. I really hope Bruce Allen puts in the money to resign him next year.

OT: Cadillac Williams is back in pads working out, you guys think he can ever get his agility back after that surgery? Without it hes not that good. Jeff Garcia is upset that Gruden wont let him throw the ball farther down the field, I expect more downfield passes these next few games, especially now that we have a healthy Joey Galloway :D. Aqib Talib is looking promising, a great tackler. Sabby Piscetilli has been a very nice suprise. Im loving our depth, we are such a complete team I think this might be the year we take a chip, its up to our O-line.

Yea I am really pleased with Bryant too. I still think we need to start develpoing D. Jackson as a slot reciever though. I know he hasnt panned out as a kick returner but you cant teach that type of speed. We need to develpo him because he is eventually gonna have to replace Joey. Honestly I wouldnt be surprised if Joey retires after this season.

I think Caddy is gonna be alot smarter in the style that he runs. His first two years he was geting hurt because he would just run so hard into people. He is gonna be patient and wait for those holes to open up. Perfect timing too, doesnt look good that Graham is gonna play.

Clayton is having a solid year as well. He has caught almost all of the passes that have been thrown to him, he used to be Mr. Butterfingers.

I honestly think this team has what it takes to make it to the Superbowl. This squad just reminds me of that superbowl 37 team. PLus that would be one hell of a homefield advantage.

True AB has been great I think not playing last year opened his eyes and now he is lucky/happy the Bucs give 2nd chances to a lot of players. Clayton has been very good as well he has had some nice and timely catches in the last couple of games. The O-line has been very good this year also Faine was a good signing, just need to work on the pass rush Gaines can't do it all himself.

Understatement out the decade.
A smart coach once said, "Potential just means you're not good enough yet." Playing on potential is like living on air: It's essential, but if thats all you have, you're eventually going to starve.

i hope jackson doesnt turn out to be a bust for us, if he does its not a big deal we can pick up a reciever in next years draft.

Yeah Clayton has been impressive i'm glad he recovered from 2 lousy seasons

I agree with you MMFLA our pass rush isnt that great with the exception of Gaines

Lets hope AB wants to stay a Buc after this season

I love the Antonio Bryant signing. He is the number 1 option this year. I know that he is a tight end but Alex Smith has been very good this year as well with Michael Clayton. I think that we need to draft a Defensive Lineman in the draft since our secondary seems to be good, wide receivers are doing good so you would not have to spend a first round pick on a receiver and our Offensive Line is probably the best it has been ever.

Yes, he's been a good help offensively. Good for him too
