Raefor, Barnes, and Steve Nash suspended

Raefor Alston and Matt Barnes will be suspend 2 games without pay. Steve Nash for escalating the situation was suspended 1 game without pay.

Fines were given out to Shaq and Tracy Mcgrady $35,000 and $25,000 respectively

Barnes should have gotten more and Shaq should have gotten at least one game. He knocked people down to the ground.

Very nicely handled by the NBA. I particularly like the part with McGrady was not suspended and Nash was. And I think we all expected Barnes and Alston would get 1 or 2 games.

Yeah all of them deserved suspensions, but Barnes and nash should have had more since Barnes started it, and nash ignited the fight again.

I wonder how many games Artest would have been suspended if he were the one to knock down Nash instead of Tracy.

Probably none, because they didn't suspend Shaq. It's all in the situation, not necessarily the action. Nash got suspended because he reignited the fight. Shaq and Tracy got fined because they knocked people over while trying to break it up.

I suspect that if Artest had done something similar, he would have been fined too.
