Fair enough.

Honestly we're just venting because the regular season is loooooong. If we don't complain, this forum would be completely dead. I don't care if Tmac gets the "flu" on and off during the season as long as he's "flu- free" in the post season.

Ya i hear the venting,,,,,man im not even from houston ive just been a huge fan since i was young of the rockets and mcgrady (im from toronto). So trust me I feel your pain and frusteration so many heart breaking seasons if i was you guys id be pretty fed up,,,thing that worries me the most is i honestly believe last year without yao the offense ran a lot smoother and we had no problems getting 100 points. Ud figure adding artest whose experienced with adelman would make us more potent offensively but its not there,,,,,dont wanna point fingers but i cant help but wonder when yaos not in how much smoother wed be on offense.

Side note thought we played well defensively tonight minus George Hill but with raefor or battier he would have been shut down and not shot 8-13[/quote]

why is it that whenever you reply on a post, yao's name is always included, what'r you? an obsessed yao ming fan?
its ok to break some rules once in a while...

Anybody complaining about defense, should really be focusing on offense. We just can't score.

This one month trail period is over for Ric's motion offense. Time to go back to the old offense with a splurge off motion offense.
You know like the time when we started our 22 win streak.

Keep Yao and Mac happy, the rest just need to hit open jumpers and play some Defense.

So it's Yao's fault that McGrady shoots sub-40% and Artest shoots 33%.

Rick has really been a disappointment thus far, Yao looks confused, Artest is chucking, and Mac is chucking and isn't playing in the spots he normally likes to play in.

No, but's it's Yao's fault he's about the most ineffective 20-10 big man since Antonio McDyess.

The Rockets will never learn that the games they blow off like the Spurs last night are difference between HC and not. This is not a mentally tough basketball team...this team needs home court throughout. That #2 spot is very much of for grabs in this conference. And what do we do...we give the effort needed to win when we feel like it. We could put ourselves in a position to have HC until the WCF and play a low 7th seed in the first round if we begin to play with the effort and intensity on every night against every team. We are talented..and yes the offense has work to do and yes we'll struggle on the boards against longer teams and McGrady's knee is gonna bother him probably all season. But we have shown what we can do tonight and against PHX.

The teams in the West...Utah, NO, SA are all so good at home. You can't win a title in November but you can begin the fight for home court throughout. Other than the Lakers no team in this conference scares me. The thing is though...like I said...we are just not mentally tough enough to win playoff series' on the road. We gotta start playing like we want home court throughout and not just rely on gody streaks to get it for us and in only the first round when we could lay that same effort across theses months and end up with the 2nd best record in the West. You have to help yourself in this league.

People have figured out the Hornets are just one great player and a bunch of jump shooters. When those shooters miss they get blown out. Utah is without Deron Williams and still struggle on the road. SA is without Parker and Ginobili....PHX has a new coach, new system and aging point guard and center. We can go on and on as to the reasons why the Rockets should seize these opportunities and build on wins such as this one and against PHX instead of showing up with no effort in hopes of having wins handed to us. Like I said..you have to help yourself in this league. The Rockets aren't doing that and thats what makes this team so frustrating.

Great post. Our team hasn't realized the things that you mentioned. McGrady's thinking playoffs already but we're merely settling for any playoff spot. We can't win a series without HC especially against LA and Utah. Utah is always guaranteed with the upper seed, and if we finish 5th or 6th, we're ****. At this rate, we'll be playing Utah again.
