Oh and by the way . . . you can already count tomorrow as a loss. There is no way in hell we are beating LeBron on the second night of a back to back.

I hate my life.

and chances are since we expect to lose this game the jazz will fight hard and possibly win it.

Not likely. As much as I'd like to believe this team has some heart and pride, they haven't shown it for the past two full seasons and the start of this one.

Back in the day, Malone would've put the entire team on his back, gone off for 40/20 and delivered a win. Booz just ain't that guy. Tonight was the perfect opportunity for someone to step up and say, "I'm the man. Give me a chance and I'll deliver." Brewer and Miles come to mind and they both completely failed to deliver.

I hate to say it because I AM a Sloan fan, but I'm starting to believe that the inability of the Jazz to beat crap teams on the road boils down to coaching. The players play the game but having the players mentally prepared is the job of the coaching staff. Clearly, there is something missing on that end when a team that is so good at home is so bad on the road. At some point it's just not good enough to expect the players to "be ready to play". The game is the same; a round ball and a hoop. The difference has to be mental toughness, preparation and execution. The Jazz are obviously lacking in this area.

If they lose to the Celtics or the Pistons on the road, okay, I can handle that. But when they lose to the Bobcats, the Knicks and the Wizards, the excuses start to sound stale.

You might be right...

I just have a feeling that when your playing your third game in four nights, on the road, with out your first, third and fourth best player, chances are you are going to struggle a little bit.

I don't know, I just don't see the Lakers doing that well with Kobe, Bynum and Oden out, or the Celtics with KG, Ray Allen and Rondo out.

Maybe it's just me. :dontknow:

We gotta look at the bright side. We're definitely the team in the west that has had the most problems with injuries so far and we're still the second seed (probably third after tonight). When we get everyone back healthy and we still lose games like this one, then I'll be the first one to call for Jerry's head and say we should trade half of the roster.
What is frustratig though is that these losses look exactly like last season's. Jazz have 5 minutes in which they don't play basketball at all (during the third quarter usually), Sloan calls a timeout 2 possessions too late, the Jazz lose the lead they built and can't finish it off in the 4th. Looks like no matter who's in there playing for us, they'll find ways to lose the game.
