Rookie Mini Camp

Some quotes from the first day of mini camp. Interviews with Childress, Peterson and Rice. Also, I read in the Strib today that Lowber ran a 4.1 40 at his personal workout for teams this summer. That's not in this link, but if he can run fast enough to even make someone think they can get away with fudging it to 4.1, that's absolutely ridiculous.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

They signed Lowber to a 3 year deal, I don't know if that's normal or not for an UDFA. He's never played organized football in his life.

He is a project. They know it will take time, Europe and such, but it is worth it.

That is normal. Most sign multi-year deals.

He probably won't make the team, but at least he gets a shot.

I have heard great things about Peterson so far, and I'm thinking he could end up being one of the greatest Vikings ever.
